This outdoor museum is well worth a visit as it has replicas of the Victoria ( Magellan's ship ) and also the Beagle ( Darwin's ).It is very reasonable pricewise but best viewed in reasonable weather.
The Magellan's replica ship is very well and detailed executed, with caracters on and various epoca effects, can make funny pics for kids with helmets, guns, swords and shields on the ship.

Really glad we walked into this little pretty town to see this museum as it gives you an in-depth understanding into the history of the area from the indigenous people right through to the first European settlers.
It gives a very good insight into the original inhabitants of Patagonia, their lifestyle and way of survival under harsh climatic conditions.

As history buff and former US Navy sailor I enjoyed the collection.

Exquisite sculptures and other œuvres by Paola Vezzani are on display - and may be purchased - in this delightful little gallery.
On our walking tour of Punta Arenas, our tour guide brought us here to see fine arts & crafts of Chilean artists and since it was the only shop open on a Sunday.

If you visit in the next few months you'll be able to see the workshop building, where the museum holds classes and workshops for the local population, as well as the main gallery.
The dedication of the grass roots folks involved with this museum is very apparent and a fresh way to view the natural history of southern Chile.
