There are plenty of open spaces, picnic areas,, making it a good place for a casual day out. The area is well-kept, with easy access and parking nearby. Access is easy regardless of your mobility. With passionate and dedicated hosts who showed ultimate patience and calm allowing visitors to have hands on experiences with native Australian animals including snakes, lizards, wombats, joeys, gliders and birds. Very well maintained, some stunning trees, a lake, rotunda and (presently closed) fern garden.

The gardens themselves are worth the visit alone. Inside you will find some for everyone in a large variety of different stalls. A fantastic selection of secondhand books on every subject imaginable, vinyl records, artworks, photographs, clothing, antiques, memorabilia, curiosities and just about anything you can imagine. Allow yourself a bit of time to visit as you will find something of interest everywhere you look. There was off-street parking, a huge tree and flower filled garden, and inside all that we needed. There was a dining room, lounge, kitchen, three bathrooms, and I think six bedrooms. There was a supermarket across the road and the restaurants were one block away.
