- nicole tSydney, Australia1,095 contributionsSuch a lovely beach to visit.
Not as busy or overbuilt as it’s counterparts up the coast.
Nice restaurants and cafes and super close to the airport.Written March 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You need to weed out the good places to eat but that’s about the only down side to the area. Love it here so muchWritten February 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Liisa and Dave BAdelaide, Australia2,449 contributionsAwesome atmosphere at this beach which draws in the surfers by the dozens! I enjoyed watching them ride the waves. - NJA_7London, UK964 contributionsThis is the state border between Queensland and New South Wales which runs right through the town, with the area of Coolangatta on one side of the road, and Tweed Heads on the other.
The strange thing about this is that NSW observes daylight savings time and so is currently 1 hour ahead of Queensland, so the time is different depending on which side of the street you are in.
We did the touristy thing of standing on the border so we were in two different states and time zones at the same time, then continued on to Byron Bay.Written December 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you have a trailer there is an uphill with many spaces. In low season you can find 2 spaces behind each other.Written March 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MumTheOrganiserGold Coast394 contributionsSadly, there aren't many historic sites in the Coolangatta area, but this lovely church is one of them and is worth a visit. It's just up the hill from the beach - an easy walk.Written December 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael-4551Caloundra, Australia5,280 contributionsVisited a few times whilst staying at Mantra from 14th June to 18th June. We just used the Woollies store to get a few things and the hotel at street level. It's the only supermarket in Coolangatta now unless you want to drive to Tweed Heads.Written August 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacqueline KTweed Heads, Australia19 contributionsAs St Peter’s was my church growing up it is distressing to me to see the sign which says the site will be built on in the near future and in it’s place a high rise building will stand there.Written August 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elise9 contributionsExcellent warm oil massage. Due to stress, I often have lots of knots in my shoulders and jaw and this massage was the perfect blend of strength and skill (to get the knots out) as well as being a really calming and rejuvenating experience overall.
I've been here twice now recently and have just booked for a third time in May as I've been so happy with the massage.Written April 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Rented 2 x step through ebikes for 4 hours that were a dream to ride & heaps of fun. Free helmets & bike lock provided & were given instruction on how to use the bikes. Such friendly service & easy. Great bike tracks all the way up to Chinderah & back down to Cabarita Beach with a couple of swims along the way. Great way to spend 4hours & very reasonably priced. Thank you Kool Bike Hire. Very cool indeed!Written December 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
