What travelers are saying
- Stella F12 contributionsThese lovely little gardens are a great place to go for a walk, right next to central Queenstown. The lower outer track has amazing views along the lakefront, and in the centre are the formal gardens which are immaculately kept. Keep an eye open for native wood pigeons and Paradise Shelducks which are often around.Written August 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KezBrisbane, Australia133 contributionsAmazing scenery and wildlife. Thoroughly enjoyed walking the waterfront. Truly beautiful despite being cold! Could have spent a lot more time just watching the world go by. Truly magic.Written August 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - happykoabugHonolulu, HI169 contributionsI checked out the Kiwi Park near the base of the Skyline gondola. It was worth the admission. The tuataras weren’t in their reptile house but I got to see one during their conservation show. Pretty cool looking! The set up of the park was good as you walked along several pathways. I loved the Kiwi house and enjoyed the guide talk. I saw 3 out of the 4 kiwis there. The various native birds looked healthy and had places to hide if they didn’t want to be seen. I love that the buff weka walked past you to get to the other side of the enclosure.Written July 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SummerasalifestyleMalibu, CA2,791 contributionsI walked from my hotel so another mile each way. Parking for only 4 cars so go ahead and walk from your hotel… the hike isn’t that long.
Slippery trail so proper footwear.
Good elevation changes—-quite steep from city to trailhead. Continues steep for first 15 minutes or so. Friaries meeting place—ya just gotta see it. No views cause of the clouds and drizzle—saw a lil pond further so I’m walking to that too! Pond is empty but very loving messages on the dry ground—yep, ya gotta hike to it.
Go early, by 10ish, lotsa people.Written April 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One of the best views I have ever seen from the top. I started from Nomads and it took me roughly 3.5 hours including breaks to get to the top, however my moving time was about 2 hours to the top. It gets steep once you get to the saddle and turn left but it is worth it. A must do for hikers and casuals in QueenstownWritten April 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Disappointing to visit this wonderland after so many good reviews.
No Smoking signs everywhere, but it appears vaping is ok !.! Multiple people vaping near the restaurant….staff not overly concerned either after being informed, as they continued to vape.!!!
Food…..ugh. Heart attacks everywhere, no fruit, fried food galore, no sandwich’s.
Surely you can do better? ?
The skiing was amazing, good runs, very popular at the weekends.
Queenstown is so picturesque, well worth a visit.Written August 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Wet Jacket is hands-down the best experience I have had in the region. Our host (Jaime) was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and professional, and the venue itself was breathtakingly beautiful. Wet Jacket has such a rich history and it is incredibly well integrated into the experience. The wine itself delicious and I cannot wait to open the bottles we took home. My partner and I will be returning to Wet Jacket for sure.Written July 7, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mike HWellington, New Zealand18 contributionsAn interesting experience from start to end. Beautiful setting. Staff very much went through the motions with each course presented. One of the best courses were the plums which were presented in a bowl of plums from which we had to ‘forage’ to find the plums we were meant to eat, the bowl was then literally ‘whipped’ away by the waitress who told us the rest were for “display only”!! Please don’t do this to customers anymore! Maybe give customers a few plums to eat as they were so delicious. I would also urge you to serve a little treat with coffee - a tiny brownie or chocolate would have been welcome and requires no explanation!!Written April 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lori E.Plano, United States2 contributionsFrom the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, Body Sanctum is so peaceful and calming. I walked in to book an appointment for a few days later and it was easy. There’s also a way to book online. I chose the Peace & Quiet package and Abby was fantastic. She’s very knowledgeable about the services, products, and add-ons available. The massage was perfect and the facial left my skin feeling incredible soft and hydrated. All the staff we met and spoke with were so friendly. Worth every penny and leaves you wanting to do additional self care treatments.Written August 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Aeacho1310 contributionsI'd been drooling over Onsen's Instagram for months before my trip, and the views did NOT disappoint! My best friend and I decided to book the ultimate relaxation experience. Onsen was easily accessible by the city bus from Queenstown. Our pool was ready early so we were able to soak a little while longer. The juice was some of the best we ever had! The pool overlooked the mountains and we watched the jetboats zooming down the river. Relaxation lives here. After our soak, I had the hot stone massage--highly recommended! This was the best of the 4 massages I had in NZ. We were treated to drinks and dessert after our spa treatment--the perfect ending to the perfect afternoon. Cheesecake bite was to die for!Written August 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- HeatherKempMittagong, Australia55 contributionsI didn't think I would be able to hit the side of a barn but with Blake's tuition I scored 17/20. Blake ensured everyone succeeded. His ability to engage the group from pick up to drop off made for a fun adventure. Nothing was too much trouble, he encouraged, cajoled and celebrated with us all. And what a majestic location. It is worth going to Break One just for the view. Such fun!Written August 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
