What travelers are saying
- Tracy H12 contributionsWonderful time on the water taxis. we got to see all sorts of wildlife and amazing views! Was really easy to organiseWritten July 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Naresh1936Mumbai, India368 contributionsFerry tides are usually very interesting, as they provide opportunity to see what one cannot see through rides. The wast pool of water, with it’s own flora and fauna. Queenstown ferries are very enjoyable at a low cost.Written September 3, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ginges_revengeBrisbane, Australia4,560 contributionsIf needing to get into Queenstown from the airport and want a cheap solution, try catching the Ritchies bus service from outside the terminal. You just need to go out of the terminal, cross to the bus station and wait for the No#1 bus. Normally a 15 min wait max if you have just missed one. It costs 10 dollars NZ to get into central Queenstown (Camp ST bus stop). Going back out to the airport, the cost is the same and the bus goes from the other side of Camp ST that you got in on. Same bus, No#1, going back. The drivers are very helpful. The only issue is the buses are just normal passenger buses and don't have luggage racks to place your suit cases in.That is the only issue I found. Other than that, its the best way into Queenstown or back to the airport.Written August 25, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sally2 contributionsQueenstown UTV 360 tour was great. My teenagers really enjoyed the excitement on the mountain tracks and the scenery was beautiful. Our guide Peter was a great driver and had lots of interesting information.Written July 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - vivbradenToowoomba, Australia2 contributionsI can really recommend QT snow transport. We couldn't get a car park at the remarkables in the school holidays, and we managed to find these guys on google and they came and collected our family and took us up the mountain and picked us up at the end of the day. They absolutely saved our travel plans because we had already paid for lessons and the ski lift passes, and just needed to get up there asap. Really nice people and great customer service. They even posted a ski glove to our home because we left it in the van.Written August 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - shelley k1 contributionTwo weeks ago we had the best possible experience with Buckleys transport. Picked up from the Greenstone car park ahead of schedule (they even said they would have come a day earlier if we had rung them - as we walked out a day early).Taken into Queenstown, then dropped at different sites. Friendly courteous and helpful.
Charge for trip only when they were 100% certain we would be able to go. Appreciated they are fully onboard with protecting us all from COVIDWritten December 22, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our driver Laura grew up in the region and her experience and knowledge of the history was very insightful. She made the trip interesting and entertaining. Hotel pick up made the trip very easy and I recommended highly to anyone! If you get Laura as you driver you will also learn about the area which was pretty cool!Written July 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - chrisEngland, UK6 contributionsPros
Great service from the English guy and girl, picked up at 1330, taken for training , both lovely helpful, great trip tour, nice treats on top, great views, worth the trek
Cons
Just one
The take home driver
1. Poor driving skills
2 no idea where he was going
3 stoped off on his phone and didn’t come back for a while, no idea where he was, would have been nice to know
4 we got off as we were fed up of being stuck in a van
My friends stayed but were dumped by him as he said his shift was over and you’ll
Have to find another way back
Tarnished what was a great afternoon

Nothing like the picture on their website. It was an embarrassment to drive around for a week. Won't be using this car rental place again.Written April 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Wendy5 contributionsVery friendly tour guides, Maithri and Shyam. Their driving along the roads was very safe which I appreciated because from past experience with different tour companies, this is not always the case. The scenery at Mount Cook is absolutely beautiful and is a must-see destination in New Zealand.Written July 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alice CHong Kong, China473 contributions1) The shuttle runs between Queenstown airport and the town centre at $10 per journey. It has stop at Frankton too.
2) GoCard is similar to Oyster Card in London. You top up the card and the bus fare is deducted from it. With GoCard, the airport journey is only $2, and so are the buses to Frankton, Arrowtown etc. You buy the card at $10, but the full amount can be used for all the bus rides afterwards.
3) Small comfortable van for the Queenstown-Wanaka line, $35 for one way, $65 for return ticket. The van stops at Cromwell as well.Written May 1, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our plans on our wedding day changed multiple times due to bad weather and Ray was very accommodating to our needs. - Lynn BCalifornia207 contributionsWe were greeted every morning of our 2 weeks with Duncan, each day he would have special stories as we winded around the South Island, plus we heard very special music he had for us to introduce us to this area.
He was a wealth of knowledge and we were safely taken around the island for about 1,000 miles in a Beautiful Mercedes! The best of comfort in all ways.Written May 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
