Had everything you wanted to buy there but naturally very touristy and most shops very expensive, you certainly want to eat breakfast before you wander into town

Amazing. Definitely worth the stop. If I could give 100 stars I would. Perfect for all ages. Literally 5 mins away from airport. All staff really friendly and so experienced. Fantastic service. Not only the experience was great but the knowledge they share is worth the trip.

Lovely little old historic cemetery. If you're interested in these, then worth having a look at. Easily accessible (right next to the Gondola) and some good photographic opportunities if that's your thing.

I did this tour in the second week of January this year With Queenstown Heritage tours. It was a memorable tour! My guide Wolfie was an excellent guide and an amazing driver. As required, we went in a four wheel drive on a mostly gravel and narrow road. The views of the valley and the river were spectacular. There was high tea at the end of the drive which was really good. Strongly recommend this trip if you would like to do something off the beaten track in Queenstown. Beware this trip is not meant for people who are afraid of heights!

Now extinct the Moa stands proud but alone in the hustle and bustle of life near the wharf. Enjoy the location on a Saturday when the local market traders have their crafts on display for sale. Say hello to this ancient creature as you take in the views of the lake and all the food places and gift shop.

We spent an enjoyable few hours walking this trail from the Hilton back to town, after being dropped off by the water taxi.
The water taxi makes this an enjoyable and scenic start to the walk, and if you want, you can grab a coffee or snack at the Hilton before the short walk to the bridge over the Kawarau River.
Pause here to watch the jetboats, then simpy follow the lake back to town.
The Boatshed Cafe at the marina is a good spot for lunch, and make sure you keep looking back, as the views of the Remarkables are superb.
There's not a lot of shade on this walk, so bring a hat, and there's also sections where you can be quite exposed to the wind, if it's a blustery day.
This is not the most spectacular walk you will do, but it's flat, easy, has some lovely views, and can also be done with a bike.

Found by accident walking the many tracks and paths in Queenstown. Lots of history at this little spot and awesome too see people putting so much energy (no pun intended) into its restoration.

Very well maintained track and an easy walk from the main road.

If your interested in the history of the area then check it out.

Such a great memorial to see and walk through, it is not that hard to find as it is on the lake front and you can walk through it so im sure some people would miss it

The stute itself is OK with the view behind of the lake and is probably the busiest place in Queenstown. The are usually buskers and there is a few places to eat.

The Christmas mass was wonderful and the priest and the community was so warm and welcoming. We are from New York and had an absolutely lovely experience.

Absolutely stunning views of the Remarkable Mountain Range, Beautiful at any stage of the day. Lush green meadow to play in next to the deep blue Lake Wakatipu. The craftsmanship on the out look structure and benches is also immaculate, really adds to the euphoric feeling you get from the place.

    Definite must see in Queenstown!!!
