The gondolas are clean, the staff are very friendly and the views are fantastic.
The ride is peaceful and allows you to take in the sights with views out to the mountains and to the bay, depending on where you look.
Lots of sheep with their young lambs to see as well.
The gift shop at the top is very reasonable with their prices.
Once at the top, you can walk around the paths to take in the views all round.

The old advertising from yesteryear that was still in some carriages added to the charm. We first did a full lap of the city then returned top various locations we chose to get off at.

They collected us from Christchurch to go to Twizel and returned to Christchurch, from Oamaru, in order to fit with the Alps to Ocean ride. The Directer, Matt, made sure everything was done on time or sooner. The journey itself included great conversation from someone who loves and knows a lot about the wider area. If you want to stop for a look at something, or for a bite to eat, that is not a problem. We even got a quick tour around Twizel on arrival to make sure we knew where to eat and get around. For groups or folk with needs that don't fit easily into scheduled transport, this option is a must. In particular, because Adventure Taxis fit with your schedule, for those of us in the North Island, or for those who don't want a night or two in Christchurch before the adventures begin, this options is barely more costly than buses when the accomodation is removed. And remember that buses don't guarantee that your bikes will get there on the day you do! Our guide, Anuj, did such a great job in spite of the weather. Instead of letting it sour our trip, he was optimistic and friendly, and very informative. Seeing the Tasman glacier was so cool. I appreciated the safety measures the company took, offering masks, hand wipes and hand sanitizer. The emergency chocolate in the bag was the best part! - AmitAuckland, New Zealand5 contributionsWe were in group of 11 people and hired a 12 seater Luxury Mercedes. Very comfort riding, good mileage on fuel as we travel total of 2600kms in 10days South Island Tour.
The hireage rate was very affordable compared to some other rental companies. Spaces leg room with space for 12 x Large bags in the rear.
Becky & Flavia and team were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to hire this if you are doing a road trip with large group.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Clairedaly26 contributionsAbsolutely appaled that this Co despite reassurance of their safety and excellent customer service, when we booked, dropped my 10 year old grandaughter who was travelling unaccompanied not at the designated stop but down the rd, and was half an hour early than it was supposed to arrive as they left early and literally put her on the main North Rd in Woodend and drove away. Despite knowing she was to be met at the designated stop at the time we were given the driver just drove away and left her on her own. Absolutely disgraceful. No regard whatsoever for a childs safety. Anything could of happened to her. Our driver, Jonny, was also excellent - and it was a pleasant surprise to be driven in a Jag!
