Our first time in Christchurch since the earthquakes, a very sobering memorial to those that tragically lost their lives, lovely to see the personal messages and flowers that had been left for some of the victims.

really nicely preserved war memorial that is also a great place to check out the beautiful Avon river and the great architecture of the new Christchurch city centre.
A beautiful monument to the fallen, through war, the structure has been lovingly restored since the damage it be-felled during the quakes.

Originally sculptured (by his widow) in Carerra Marble because bronze was in short supply during WWI, this statue was one of the victims of the 2011 earthquakes.

I love these 3 little dogs, cast in bronze and eternally wandering in High St, presumably waiting for their parents who are probably in C4 having coffee and reading bad Trip Advisor reviews!
