Our guide was prepared for everything with so much attention to detail- abundant snacks, ponchos, umbrellas, and loads of local knowledge. The stops were all really beautiful and worthwhile, and the day was well timed. I really appreciated the correspondence before the trip reminding us of what to bring- my one regret is that we didn’t bring headphones to use on the train so that we could listen to the commentary, and it would have been helpful if this had been included in the email advising us what to bring. An absolutely great day out and would highly recommend it to anyone! We had an amazing experience with our tour package, and a big part of that was thanks to our guide and chauffeur, Anuj(hope i got it right). He was incredibly knowledgeable about all the places we visited, sharing interesting facts and stories that made the trip even more enjoyable. The drive was smooth, and everything ran exactly on time, just as predicted. Anuj was also very generous, providing us with snacks and water throughout the journey, and he made sure that everyone was comfortable and looked after. The trip was well-organized from start to finish, and it was truly an incredible experience. - Judith A2 contributionsFabulous wine tour! The driver/guide provided information on the drive to the first winery, Waipara Springs, where we tasted several wines, then had a great lunch. The wine pourer explained the wine processes and answered questions. We also visited George's Road and Torlesse. I was able to discuss the wines we tasted with the owner at George's Road who then offered to let us taste his syrah. Two of us found this one to be the best and we each bought a bottle. Torlesse produces wine in a more French style. All in all, a great day out meeting other wine lovers, and tasting a variety of wines and styles. Selection of stops was nice. They could have been shorter but I know timing was important. A good day in general. - Paul SNew York City, NY3 contributionsI only had limited time in Christchurch. Our scheduled day trip to Mt. Sunday (Edoras filming location) was canceled due to extreme weather conditions. Our driver, Cheryl, volunteered to take us the following day even though they hadn't planned to do a tour then. Our tour was amazing! Cheryl is a great and knowledgeable guide and the scenery is stunning. It was an incredible trip and I'm so thankful they worked to make it happen for us. I highly recommend this tour whether you're a fan of the Lord of the Rings or not! - gabor10288 contributionsWe took the Arthur’s Pass daytrip with the TranzApline train on the return leg. Clive is a very informative, knowledgable guide. Really liked his relaxed, unhurried style. The lunchpacks were brilliant and they catered for our veggie diet. The minibus was also very comfortable to travel in. I have no hesitation in recommending this travel company.
