My wife and I visited these beautiful Gardens after we visited The Shrine of Remembrance. We had booked a High Tea at Jardin Tan Restaurant next to the Visitor's Centre and wanted to have a walk specifically in The Fern Gully Tracks, The Sensory Garden and The Tropical Glasshouse, before our meal at that restaurant.

These Gardens are always very well maintained and are an excellent asset for the public to enjoy. I have been to various Botanic Gardens in Australia and in other countries and I consider The Royal Botanic Gardens in Victoria to be the best in Australia.

Here you get to see a whole range of exhibits from local to Europe to Asia, etc. The facade is extraordinary. There are also nice cafe where you can rest and continue to amaze yourself with the exhibits.

Definitely a fun place for both families & couples...perfect opportunity to get some happy snaps with a difference!
The work and details in the murals/paintings are quite amazing and the end results are really hilarious if you position yourself well and let "loose" with your poses!
It would be great if some of the staff could be positioned throughout the gallery to both give some advice on exactly where/how to stand etc and to offer to take the picture in case you'd like a full group photograph.

It was beautiful see Melbourne from a different angle. You can walk around and have a 360o view of the city. Sunset is amazing and you can enjoy a good coffee as well.

This is the second time visiting the Gaol. First time we night the night ghost tour which is an absolute must do. This time we did it by ourselves in the day totally different experience but still worth it. So much history, lots of things to see and read about and the watch tower tour is great fun and lots of laughs

My wife and I visited this important place in the morning before heading to Jardin Tan Restaurant for High Tea.

We walked up the flights of stairs to the Balcony to enjoy the surrounding views from all directions. After that, we walked through the various rooms to see the impressive displays and the Crypt.

We also walked around the perimeter of the external grounds to admire the size of the Shrine and the architecture. We walked inside the Terrace Courtyard to admire the plants and the serenity of the area.

This is truly one of the must places to visit if you travelling to Melbourne. Even for locals this is the place for fresh produce and getting things cheap. The whole experience is a great one.

It was great being on board 35 number tram to know Melbourne CBD and it's surrounding spots. Based on the short tour I was ready to explore the city on my own.

Roar and snore tour Melb zoo was a great experience and the two guides were fantastic but the tour itself felt very rushed. Arrived Saturday night 6.30pm in the dark would of been better arriving in daylight. Set up of the camp was very good and comfy beds, food just a pass but the tour of the zoo was excellent. Seen behind the scenes and had a good amount of time with different animals and the guides were very informative and interesting. Worth doing

This is smaller than Queen Victoria Market but seems more popular and packed. Similar concept of a mix of crafts, retail, fresh seafood, fruits and veg and dried goods. But more towards the artsy bit, even the desserts are more artisan-ish.

We ended up eating most of our time here - lobster potato salad, fresh tiger prawns that even the kids love, some sushi (not too great) and Arancini (disappointing).

The best museum I’ve ever been to, bar none.
The dinosaur exhibit was terrific: informative, engaging, well laid out, impressive.
The play area for our young granddaughter was the best such area we’ve ever seen

We visited the Conservatory today as part of our walk through the gardens. Our daughter was married in the Conservatory in 2000 so it brought back many memories.
The floral displays inside this delightful are wonderful and the temperate environment a welcome relief from the chilly winds outside.
Entry is free and this really is a must visit attraction. I have posted some photos which show how delightful it is.
The immaculate upkeep of the grounds and the Conservatory is a credit to the city.

My Dad is 89 and although his mind is sharp, his body is frail. He and my Mum did a solo voyage over to Portarlington from Melbourne, for the first time. Dad wasn’t able to traverse up the ramp with his walker and Mum sought help from the crew. You guys were brilliant! Your friendly, cheerful manner greeted Dad and you supported him up the ramp without him feeling foolish or feeble. Thank you. It’s so important to them (and me) to maintain some independence. They loved their voyage.
