- TravellerMelbourne, Australia9,765 contributionsMy wife and I visited these beautiful Gardens after we visited The Shrine of Remembrance. We had booked a High Tea at Jardin Tan Restaurant next to the Visitor's Centre and wanted to have a walk specifically in The Fern Gully Tracks, The Sensory Garden and The Tropical Glasshouse, before our meal at that restaurant.
These Gardens are always very well maintained and are an excellent asset for the public to enjoy. I have been to various Botanic Gardens in Australia and in other countries and I consider The Royal Botanic Gardens in Victoria to be the best in Australia.Written May 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Maurice L6 contributionsWatched a one day international, absolutely thrilling atmosphere, great view from our seats, everybody super friendly.Written April 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

There are also nice cafe where you can rest and continue to amaze yourself with the exhibits.Written May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ToowoombatouristToowoomba, Australia254 contributionsDefinitely a fun place for both families & couples...perfect opportunity to get some happy snaps with a difference!
The work and details in the murals/paintings are quite amazing and the end results are really hilarious if you position yourself well and let "loose" with your poses!
It would be great if some of the staff could be positioned throughout the gallery to both give some advice on exactly where/how to stand etc and to offer to take the picture in case you'd like a full group photograph.Written May 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - TravellerMelbourne, Australia9,765 contributionsMy wife and I stayed in a holiday cottage in Olinda for two nights during our recent holiday in Dandenong Ranges.
We visited a few places during our holiday, including the Botanic Garden, Alfred Nicholas Memorial Gardens, George Tindal Memorial Gardens, Emerald Lake Park, Burkes Lookout, Grants Picnic Area where we went on three hiking tracks, Olinda Tea House and R.J. Hamer Arboretum.
There was a very severe storm in June 2021 in the Dandenong Ranges and some places are still closed for repairs, including the 1000 Steps, Olinda Falls and some parts of Sherbrooke.Written April 30, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - spopey15Sydney, Australia2,752 contributionsA great experience. We loved the displays in each cell - information about the crimes and circumstances of some old crims, accompanied by their death masks. It was both poignant and scary. The dim lighting added to the atmosphere of a grim place, beautifully preserved.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TravellerMelbourne, Australia9,765 contributionsMy wife and I visited this important place in the morning before heading to Jardin Tan Restaurant for High Tea.
We walked up the flights of stairs to the Balcony to enjoy the surrounding views from all directions. After that, we walked through the various rooms to see the impressive displays and the Crypt.
We also walked around the perimeter of the external grounds to admire the size of the Shrine and the architecture. We walked inside the Terrace Courtyard to admire the plants and the serenity of the area.Written May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kiran KMelbourne, Australia654 contributionsThis is truly one of the must places to visit if you travelling to Melbourne. Even for locals this is the place for fresh produce and getting things cheap. The whole experience is a great one.Written April 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Stephen GRockdale, Australia17 contributionsBy far and away one of the nicest surprises when visiting Melbourne. Handy transport and money saverWritten May 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marsha54 contributionsRoar and snore tour Melb zoo was a great experience and the two guides were fantastic but the tour itself felt very rushed. Arrived Saturday night 6.30pm in the dark would of been better arriving in daylight. Set up of the camp was very good and comfy beds, food just a pass but the tour of the zoo was excellent. Seen behind the scenes and had a good amount of time with different animals and the guides were very informative and interesting. - dyhxSingapore3,298 contributionsThis is smaller than Queen Victoria Market but seems more popular and packed. Similar concept of a mix of crafts, retail, fresh seafood, fruits and veg and dried goods. But more towards the artsy bit, even the desserts are more artisan-ish.
We ended up eating most of our time here - lobster potato salad, fresh tiger prawns that even the kids love, some sushi (not too great) and Arancini (disappointing).Written May 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Peggy TSingapore, Singapore801 contributionsVery modernized yet cultural library. It is truly a place where not only provides a nice reafing and research place but also a museum experience. The Dome and layout of the library is really interesting. The library is divided into different wings too. You can spend a good 2 hours to look through the exhibits.Written May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- stooibrownSt. Andrews, United Kingdom6 contributionsThe best museum I’ve ever been to, bar none.
The dinosaur exhibit was terrific: informative, engaging, well laid out, impressive.
The play area for our young granddaughter was the best such area we’ve ever seenWritten May 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Stephen JCanberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia664 contributionsWe visited the Conservatory today as part of our walk through the gardens. Our daughter was married in the Conservatory in 2000 so it brought back many memories.
The floral displays inside this delightful are wonderful and the temperate environment a welcome relief from the chilly winds outside.
Entry is free and this really is a must visit attraction. I have posted some photos which show how delightful it is.
The immaculate upkeep of the grounds and the Conservatory is a credit to the city.Written May 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
