Escape Hunt offered a fun afternoon adventure. We completed the Zodiac Room, and enjoyed it overall.
Compared to other escape rooms we have tried, we found the codes a bit easier to crack, but the hunting for things in the room a bit harder - partly I think that we were less observant than we could have been, and partly because some things just needed to be hunted for, without a real connection to other clues. Slightly strangely, there were some elements in the room that were apparently no longer active - e.g. one object was clearly on tracks but never moved in the game. Perhaps the room was used for a different puzzle in the past?
During these Covid times, it was pleasing to see hand sanitiser positioned prominently in the foyer and its use actively encouraged - gloves and masks were optional.
A few of the escape rooms I’ve been to recently have been staffed by people who are really invested in the game and have been excited to dissect the game with us after, which we’ve enjoyed. That wasn’t the experience here, but the customer service was courteous.
Overall, we enjoyed our afternoon, whilst learning some more about our strengths and weaknesses when it comes to escape rooms!
