Did the 90 min tour of court house/jail, it was great! Mark the tour guide was an amazing guide, with heaps of knowledge and passion. We got to see under the court house, into some cells and the gallows. Very cool experience.
    Only $25, would highly recommend

Great activity on a cold wet day in Hobart. Super interesting and cheap too. Gentle walk up from the docks to the CBD

Wow - what an amazing experience! It was such a beautiful house and Amanda (our guide) made it come alive with all of the stories of the residents and quirky facts about the former occupants and some of the artefacts in the house. Even our teenage kids loved it! This has truly been a highlight of our travels around Tasmania! I’d highly recommend it to everyone and it was very reasonably priced.

Wonderful spot to pop into either during the week or especially on a Sunday when the doors to the hall are open for an exhibition.

Originally built by Lady Jane Franklin in 1842 to bring some culture and civility to the area. The name Acanthe stands for 'blooming valley' and she had it erected as a classic temple form.

You can drive there as there is parking spots (out the front, next to the public toilets or anywhere along the street) or you can catch a bus as there is a bus stop at the entrance. The public toilets have been built only recently so are quite new and clean. There are a couple of seating benches on the land around the hall and the walking track leads all the way to the top of Lenah Valley road which is good for exercise and walking your dog. The public space around the hall also makes a nice little spot to have a picnic.

The hall itself is rather small but makes up for it with charm and ambience.

Could not praise highly enough - went to places we would never have been able to see on our own - the caves are unbelievable!. A great commentary and lunch. Mike and Steve clearly have a lot of experience and care about the environment they are showing you. Loved it!

Would absolutely recommend Drink Tasmania Tours. Enjoyed an absolutely beautiful day out. Our guide Tim was very informative and fun. Thank you so much for a great day out experiencing some of Tasmania's local wines, gins, and cider!

Thank you Phil for a fabulous day! From your witty repartee on the drive to Kettering, the delicious morning tea of Bruny Island produced cheeses, and fresh oysters; interesting facts of our first settlement; a convict built historic lighthouse which we could climb as part of your tour; and a delicious lunch at the Bruny Hotel - we thoroughly enjoyed our day at Bruny and driving through Hobart! We were lucky to have Phil as our guide.

Team were so friendly and engaging. Boat ride was amazing - got up close to seals and dolphins and phenomenal views of the cliffs.

We all had a wonderful time with Lisa on our walking tour of Hobart. Lisa was brilliant. She was so knowledgeable, friendly and had a wonderful, clear projecting voice so we didn’t miss a thing. My husband is hard of hearing and even he heard every word!
We learnt so much of the fascinating history of this beautiful town and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thanks Lisa.

This trip was amazing. From getting dressed up in the very unconventional wet weather gear, to jetting across the ocean waves, it was all wonderful. The guide and pilot were funny, informative and very safety conscious. The scenery was stunning and the birds and animals were one of the highlights of the trip for me, given I'm an avid bird watcher. It's well worth doing this trip!

We booked Heather for a shuttle from Port Arthur to Hobart Airport. Heather was on time and delightful company and as we were picking up a hire car and continuing our Tasmania trip was able to provide us with tourist information . Would definitely book Heather for a tour.

Definitely put this tour on your Hobart to-do list! Great tour with just the right mix of history and today's Hobart brought together by a very enthusiastic guide. He clearly loves his home town and it comes though with his very entertaining story telling. We've done these tours all over Europe and this tour is up there with the best.

Three generations of our family, including teens and grandparents, enjoyed a beautiful afternoon sail in the Hobart harbour on the River Derwent. Despite very light winds, the crew engaged all sailing in the tasks raising sail and navigating the river. Everyone had an opportunity to take a turn at the wheel, and all crew members regaled those sailing with stories about the ship and the city. A wonderful afternoon that we look forward to repeating in the future. Thank you, Lady Nelson!
