- EssentialnessAustralia168 contributionsStunning view on a clear day! Very enjoyable to walk around and cast eyes across mountains, harbours and islands. Hands down toilets with the best view in the world!
We hired a car for the day and took the drive, was well worth it and would recommend. We had great weather! If we had more time we would also engage with the more of the many walks from the rest area and coffee stall part way up to the summit. A cafe 'Lost Freight' perfectly situated for a hot chocolate or coffee on your way up and for some of the small walks.Written May 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Janis4299Hobart, Australia1 contributionCould not praise highly enough - went to places we would never have been able to see on our own - the caves are unbelievable!. A great commentary and lunch. Mike and Steve clearly have a lot of experience and care about the environment they are showing you. Loved it!Written May 11, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Your vast experience on the river came to the fore, your incredible culinary skills shone through, the effort you made to make our trip rewarding was utterly inspiring. - Robert MBrisbane, Australia11 contributionsIt was our anniversary and we chose the Picnic Flight to celebrate. The team at Above and Beyond took care of everything and made the day special for us both. The professionalism and friendliness was excellent as was the lunch provided. The flight was fantastic and Dennes point on Bruny Island was a great place to relax and enjoy the hospitality.
The lunch provided was well presented, packed full if quality meats, cheeses and tasty treats.
Only wish we had taken their advice and taken a good bottle of wine to share.

I cannot write more to encourage people to do this trip.Written April 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Michelle B1 contributionWe thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour sail on the beautiful SV Rhona H out of Hobart and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting Hobart.
It was a glorious day with a gentle breeze and it was a joy to watch the crew work together to hoist the sails and to be aboard this beautiful boat under full sail.
The whole crew were friendly and informative, providing entertaining commentary on the area and the boat itself. Julie was a wonderful hostess serving a variety of nibbles and refreshments throughout the afternoon.Written May 16, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Elizabeth MQuincy, MA27 contributionsEye See Tours run the best tour business in Tasmania hands down! We booked with Judy for 2 days (we had a short 3 day stay in Tasmania) and it was an experience of a lifetime! Judy is so knowledgeable about the culture, history, and hot spots in Taz! It really was a personalized, diverse experience for us. We had a 1/2 day unbooked which she recommended checking out the Salamanca Market in Hobart. Lovely local crafts, food, art, and atmosphere! Our 2 days with Judy were fantastic - we went to Freycinet National Park - gorgeous walks, Wineglass Bay, the Hazards, spectacular vistas everywhere! We had a scrumptious lunch enjoying a deserted beach with Judy's homemade lunch - all organic and homegrown deliciousness! We also popped into Kate’s Berry Farm - a great Judy discovery for _the most_ delectable treats! The next day we were off to the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary which was so much fun - our tour guide there - a friend of Judy's - gave us a close, personal look at the animals and an experience that I'll always remember. The work they do with the animals and the care and attention that is given in their work really shows. Then onto Mount Field National Park (waterfalls and walks are breath-taking). Judy again raised the bar on a delectable lunch in an off the beaten path picnic area that we had to ourselves and could explore the beachside area.
Judy is truly gifted and experienced in guiding through destinations pinpointing what you are interested in and bringing what you imagined your adventures to be to fruition! Tazmania is a gem to be explored as Judy promotes: See Tazmania as a guest, not just a tourist. And that is what she graciously delivers!Written October 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - belinda H2 contributionsThis was a magical and thrilling adventure. Dave is one of the nicest, warmest and funniest guys we have ever met. Dave clearly loves what he does and this is evident in his service delivery and providing a memorable experience. My hubby and I did this tour Xmas eve and it is a memory that will last a lifetime.Written December 29, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Marita GMelbourne, Australia12 contributionsHiring electric bikes for a couple of days from Ian was an absolute highlight of our Hobart trip. You really get to see a different side of the city via a bike - all without breaking a sweat!! The bikes were comfortable and reliable. Ian provides us with great suggestions and local knowledge about bike tracks. We rode from Battery Point over the bridge to Bellarine one day and to Mona another day - bike paths all the way.
HIGHLY recommmended!Written May 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - frank850Launceston, Australia1 contributionWe had a wonderful day flying into and out of Melaleuca via two different routes.
Very interesting, scenic and worthwhile boat trip on Bathurst Harbour .
Lovely lunch provided.
Very informative commentary by our pilot and coxswain Liam.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip as a way of accessing the SW for a taster:- without needing the skills and gear and applying the toil needed to walk or sail in and out of this remote and special place.Written April 25, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - breuningerStuttgart, Germany26 contributionsWent out with Tomas on this 2 1/2 hour tour. Was absolutely fantastic. Informative and entertaining commentary. Tomas was happy to answer any questions we had. Showed as parts of the river and caves we probably wouldn't have visited with other cruises.Written May 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HevansHobart, Australia2 contributionsA fabulous day out which was enhanced by stunning weather and amazing close up whale interactions which added to the fabulous crew who went out of their way to ensure everyone had the best time possible.Great food, fabulous service, super safety concious always being on hand to help visitors around the boat, very friendly and informative skipper who stretched out the cruise time so we could enjoy more time with the whales ( after checking that none of us was on a rigid time schedule). Great to see the crew so excited about the number of whales we saw … they obviously love their jobs and that enhances the guest experience. Everyone should do this at least once…and continue to fight to save this awesome planet of ours. Thanks Matt and crew.Written May 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
