- PUMBRIDGELondon, UK2,377 contributionsModest, but attractive, city centre park near the harbour in Hobart, filled with intriguing colonial era monuments plus more modern ‘first native’ additions. The park is on a steep slope, but footpaths wind through itWritten February 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OldjackGreater Melbourne, Australia29,390 contributionsThe park was once where the Prince of Wales Battery once stood as part of Hobart's defenses. It is now a great open expanse of green, some well developed trees and a great place to walk in one of the more pleasant and historical areas of Hobart.Written January 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EndlessTravelsGreater Melbourne, Australia38,672 contributionsParliament St Reserve is famous for its BIG blue slide and rightly so. The kids love it and so do the adults.
Nearby are the excellent Fitzroy GardebsWritten December 11, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Consisting of so many things the "parks" main feature is 2 wood fired ovens that are open to the public. The Council provides to "helpers" to mangae everyone cooking and the last Sunday in the month they let the Community turn up without a booking fee and use it. (under supervision)
Not only this but there is rock climbing, a separate BBQ area, a MASSIVE swing for all. Note: This swing is very unique. In fact it's the 2nd last one in the world!!! The last one is in Launceston funnily enough. Paved walking tracks all around and wheel chair friendly. Toilets are the latest and even cater for the little ones.
2 slides and such interesting architecture.
A must visit and if you don't want to book the ovens then everything is free.Written February 2, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
