Walking across the Sydney Harbour Bridge is free and very easy to do. Obviously the bridge climb is the more glamorous option but if budget or time or vertigo does not allow, then walking is another option.
You can start from either end and the walk is only 20 - 25 minutes. Starting at the historic Rocks end, you will finish in Kirribilli where you can catch a ferry or train back pretty close to where you started at Circular Quay.
The pedestrian path is on the eastern side of the bridge. This is the same side that overlooks Circular Quay and the Opera House but (and its a big but) the views are severely impeded by the tall mesh safety barrier topped with barbed wire. It’s difficult to take a clear photo.
It is also worth noting that you are walking alongside the traffic. High metal barriers protect you so it’s perfectly safe but obviously there’s a lot of traffic and it’s less pleasant than you’d think.
The south-east pylon near the Rocks side is open to the public. Halfway up, it has a small museum (free) and a 360 degree observation or lookout deck on top ($19).
Overall, the pylon is excellent but walking across the bridge is probably a tick-the-box exercise if you want to say that you’ve done it.

This was an absolutely amazing experience and so glad we did it. My daughter (12yo) and I lived every minute and as good as the experience was, our guide Stephen made it just perfect. He was funny, engaging and knowledgeable which made this the highlight of our holiday by far. Thanks Stephen!!

Yeah heaps fun! Even my friend managed to do well. We enjoyed the Vampire Room we did, it wasn’t too hard for us beginners and we still managed to feel frustrated when we struggled

We went to the Cipher Room in Newtown for our son’s 8th birthday. We did the Espionage. It was a lot of fun. It was tricky and challenging but so rewarding when we’d find a clue. A great family bonding activity!

Though it was our first time trying out Next Level Escape, we decided to go for Artefact as the concept sounded interesting. It turned out to be a great choice! The whole experience was very interactive and we liked that there was a fair bit of technology involved. A special shoutout to Michael for being a fantastic game master. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great time!

My partner and I were visiting from Canberra and decided to do an escape room :) We were able to complete the Paris Escape, we loved it, the room had so many puzzles and kept us entertained for the whole hour. We loved it so much that we asked to do another one straight away. We went for a quick coffee stop and came back to complete The Ransom, this was also super cool and a little more difficult.
Ally helped us with our experience and was so lovely to chat to and gave great clues when we needed any help. Would highly recommend this personable family owned business :) We hope to go back and complete the other 2 rooms.

The captain Blake is a true magician. Not only is his boat small, fast and quiet. But it is also very low to the water. I have travelled with black on photo safaris with canon collective a couple of times. Never with a dull trip. 100% thumbs up.

What a great trip out. Straight to Bondi, then back along the coast through Rose Bay, Double Bay and Kings Cross. Finished up at the Botanical Gardens, but plenty of stops along the way for beautiful views, fascinating bits of info from our driver Brian, and some photo ops. A great way to see Sydney, highly recommended.

What a wonderful experience for locals and visitors alike! We loved the sunrise tour of the Sydney Harbor with Sophie. She is a wonderful instructor for the novice at kayaking and shared many interesting facts about the city and harbor. I would highly recommend her tours. She owns the company and personally runs the tours. You can be sure she cares about your kayak tour experience.

    Incredible in every sense...

We chose to combine an abseiling experience with the Empress Falls Canyoning day. This was a very special occasion and although we had booked something else, this turned out amazing. The recent rains made our original plan impossible but Paul and James from Eagle Rock Adventures did a great job of pivoting and communicating clearly the whole way.

The day itself was unreal. We went for the Boar's Head Abseiling which was epic and awe striking and challenging and humbling all while being the amazing bonding experience my friend and I were hoping for.

After a great lunch we then began our canyoning experience. Again, because of recent weather we had to make small adjustments and by no means did they make any impact on our experience. Canyoning was unbelievable. Being able to immerse yourself in nature like this, while combining some adventure and excitement was beyond my expectations. I was not even done with the day and already planning for a future visit!

Although it was certainly not easy, it never felt scarier than a healthy respect for Mother Nature should make you feel.

This is where James was such an incredible guide and ambassador for canyoning itself, for his company and for himself. He combined the art of guiding and educating, with a great talent for fun and humor/wit while not once compromising on keeping us focussed on safety. He balanced these so well that I wish I could write a review for him personally. I have a lot of experience in this field and I cannot overstate how much he impressed me. At the end one feels that one has gained a lifelong memory of something so incredibly powerful, but also that you have gained a friend who was kind enough to introduce it to you. Truly above and beyond!

All in all, anyone wanting a life changing experience should look no further!

Well done Eagle Rock Adventures, and special shout out to James!

    Thank you
