Excellent exhibits, all free. Love the old maps and globes. A beautifully preservered heritage building.

This is such a nicely designed space! I went there to see what it was like, and I was honestly very impressed. The cafe is a good touch, and the staff a so friendly and welcoming. The librarian on duty was happy to reissue my library card since I had lost my last one. And the downstairs area is so well payed out with books lining the walls and dividing the study spaces. A great place to study or relax.

Located in Haymarket, walking distance from Central Station & UTS. It gets crowded at certain times. Staff is very friendly. Academic books vary covering different disciplines. Despite its location on a busy street, the reading area is soundproof.

Now part of the Woollahra Council, the old Paddington Town Hall is a library. It was built between 1890 and 1891 and is a good example of Victoria architecture. The clock tower arrived in 1905, It has a distinctive presence on Oxford Street and worth a look even if you are not considering reading a book .
