    Sydney harbour bushland reserve
    I did this walk as part of the Bondi to Manly walk but the easiest way to access this trail is from the Taronga Zoo ferry. This bushland walking track follows the shoreline and is mostly flat with a few stairs and is well graded, well maintained and signposted. There is a lighthouse at the point and I saw a kookaburra. There are some views across the harbour towards the city and the Harbour Bridge which were excellent. It is one of the longest harbour bushland walks, particularly if you continue onto the Taylors Bay track to Chowder Bay and the Headland Park and Balmoral and I found it the most pleasant.

    Best beach ever
    This beach is around 7 mins far from the manly center. Very nice and quite beach and worth to spend time there.

    Quiet harbourside park
    Nice harbourside park. Makes a good smaller, quieter alternative to Rushcutters Bay. Some big fig trees shading decent grass. Don't forget the Specimen Jar sculpture!

    Great in Summer
    Lovely park, great in summer for a picnic or even just walking your dog. The area is very nice as well with the breeze from the bay

    Remote Getaway
    We had a fabulous overnight stay at the Carrai Plateau National Park. We travelled up via Willi Willi and Carrai Roads through bush fire affected Forest. You enter the national park and it is a lush rainforest with heaps of birds, wallabies and even paddy melon ( wallabies).
    Then you drive through eucalypt forests with huge tree ferns. Unfortunately just before getting to Mary’s View there was a big tree over the road and we had to turn around.
    We stayed overnight at the old Daisy Plain huts which are in great condition. There is a drop toilet and water tanks which feed water through to a kitchen and shower block. Amazing, so far from anywhere.
    One word of warning take warm clothes as you are at elevation and at night it got very cold, down to low single figures.

    Lovely wildflowers
    Being September, the wildflowers are blooming which is why I dropped by. I entered the Park at Limeburners Creek. Certain roads in this area are inaccessible to anything but high clearance 4wd due to idiots churning up the roads when it's been raining. The main track is accessible to all vehicles currently but it's not advisable to drive down here in the wet unless you have a 4wd as the ground gets very sticky (clay?) and slippery.
    At the moment there's Boronia, lots a different yellow pea flowers, pimela, a couple of species of orchids and some other lovely wildflowers.

    Remote and lovely walking but beware of petty crime in carpark
    We parked at North Chowan Road entrance to the Park.
    Walked Mount Chowan as we followed directions in the “Byron Trails” book published by Mairead Cleary.
    Unfortunately we arrived back at the carpark 4 hours later to find our windscreen had been smashed into. Quite disturbing. So please beware.
