- Claire Li1 contributionWe had a great time in 'The Game' at Next Level Escape and it was brilliantly narrated and hosted by Michael (who really went hard core on the roasts and probably laughed hard at how we interacted with some of the puzzles) and we were pleasantly surprised by how interactive and fun the room was and the surprise at the end was a solid 10/10.
Best room so far at the Next Level Escape - really would recommend to play with friends!!Written May 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - amy c3 contributionsThis was a great experience, very entertaining and a great challenge. Staff were fantastic from booking to the actual event. Booking was easy and communication via email was quick and helpful as was the phone contact we had.Written May 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- catherinecooMelbourne, Australia20 contributionsI booked a session at a tricky time as the restriction just started to lift but not completely. It’s for my husband’s birthday so I really want to do it. I wrote them an email not expecting reply due to the lock down however got a reply very quickly. They made the booking and also kept me in contact with any updates.
On the day, the staff is very helpful and did all the procedures for COVID-19. We played the mad mind which is easy to start and really enjoyable. The equipment is in very good condition and the whole place is maintained at a high hygiene standard.
When we finished, the staff even came in to show some photos he took for us when we were in the game world. We are very happy with the experience!Written July 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - KatieNewcastle, Australia2 contributionsGreat room with inventive puzzles and a cohesive story line. Intense, but not terrifying like some rooms. Enough to do for a group of five. Family theme. Just made it out!Written July 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Eisabess10 contributionsFor our first time at Expedition Sydney, my friends and I opted to go for The Forgotten Son. The entire escape room journey needed a lot of collective brainpower, but the setup was immersive and the challenges incredibly rewarding. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A big thank you too to Dan for being a great game master!Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

Escaped: Yes, but 2-3 minutes overtime. So no.

Creativity of puzzles: 8 out of 10
Atmosphere: 4 out of 10
Difficulty: 7 out of 10
Fun: 9 out of 10
My tip: You gotta rearrange them in a sort which you think will make sense.”
Comments:
The theme of the escape room (time-travel) doesn’t match that well with the atmosphere inside the room. But this is the most jampacked escape room I have experienced when it comes to the number of puzzles so far, and I had fun trying to solve all of them. Though many, the puzzles are also really feasible to solve by an average guy if he really tries to think them through. So somehow, its puzzles are above average when it comes to difficulty.
There won’t be any situation you’ll get stuck too long in one puzzle because the moderator is messaging you to help you using the provided iPad device in the room.
The escape room doesn’t have a built-in countdown timer, so you have to look at your iPad device every time-check.
The room is narrative-heavy. I didn’t get the story that much when we get through the puzzles (the puzzles have in-story texts) because I was too focused on the clues. That’s why the ending was kind of fuzzy. Feel free to consume your time understanding the story while in the game. But regardless of fuzziness, the ending was kinda cheesy as well.Written June 27, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Irene C14 contributionsWe did the Pub and it was one of the best room we've done!
