#2 of 100 Sights & Landmarks in Australian Capital Territory
... to note how the city's architect, Walter Burley Griffin, allows a perfectly balanced view from Parliament House to Old Parliament House (now the Museum of Australian Democracy) and the Australian War Memorial.
A great clean city with lots of free activities, Parliament House was a definite must see and the rest of Canberra is just beautiful in Autumn leaves, fantastic gardens, perfect weather

The staff at the gift store were friendly and my 9 years old loved doing the kid activity booklet, he learnt heaps and is keen to share with his school mates Monday.Thankyou for a great Sunday !
They are fun and informative and it's great to look over the factory floor and kids just love watching the giant robot, Titan, moving coins around.

It a fascinating visit for the information on our democracy but also to see the amazing architecture!
If you're interested in judicial process and Australia's Constitution and how it relates to Parliament and the people of Australia this is definitely well worth a visit.

... almost as much as the inside, but the highlight of our visit (we had a hard time leaving)was the excellent bookshop, with a great big range of books for sale, laid out well, we all loved our time in the library.
The library is a beautiful building to visit with an exhibition gallery, gift shop and fabulous restaurant which offers indoor and outdoor eating with the most fantastic view of Lake Burley Griffin.
