I really enjoyed the two tours one morning and one evening tour I did with Murray on the Daintree River Murray has a wealth of knowledge on flora and fauna as well has the history of the region.
Murray’s skill in finding wildlife hidden on the banks is truly amazing and we had opportunities to photograph rarely seen birds (like the Little Kingfisher and Great Billed Heron), tree snakes and crocodiles.......

Our host Simon was brilliant, he customised the perfect full day tour for us so all we had to do was just sit back relax and enjoy the beautiful wine that this stunning region has to offer.
The tour took us to Birds on Barron for breakfast and a meeting with a sweet Emu, for a lake-side cruise for lunch and a sight of wildlife in a volcanic crater lake, and to a bunch of beautiful, wild-life filled,...
We saw many bush birds including laughing kookaburras, sulphur crested cockatoos, rainbow bee eaters, black kites, and the bush stone curlews trying to hide in the grass.

Dan is so knowledgeable about the river and its wildlife, we have to agree with all the other posters that this was such a fantastic experience if you are interested in rainforest and river flora and fauna.
We had close up sightings of crocodiles, Papua Frogmouths, Azure Kingfishers, White Lipped Green Tree Frogs, birds of all varieties, and types as well as so many more native animals, trees, and plants.
Went on a somewhat chilly morning so the crocs weren’t super active but Dave made sure we got in a few good sightings and with the camera was able to zoom in on the crocs, birds, and other creatures to show us det...
There were nine of us on the boat + Dougie the dog, which was fantastic, and David, who has spent 22 years on the river, was such a wonderful, informative guide.

... with this guy" So we did..... we joined him to do the Rocks Photography tour and found Alfonzo to be very giving and helping with his camera technique knowledge along with new ways of using camera settings etc.
As an added bonus, after the sunrise shoot, we returned to a nearby B&B, had some brekkie and spent a couple of hours editing in Lightroom - once again with Alfonso providing just the right amount of guidance.

Top tip - go at low tide and preferably on an overcast day as the crocs are easier to see Our skipper had great knowledge of the crocs and was really interesting, very professional.

For me this was a perfect way and most affordable to see the extended south coast and delve into the Minnamura Rainforest and see the townships along the way and more of the Royal National Park areas.
(I had a point and shoot, the two others had SLRs.) since it was my first day in Sydney I also got an intro to the city and pointers from Terry and the two others on the tour (who love here).
