- el735Vienna, Austria94 contributionsFantastic castle in the middle of nowhere, hard to find at night, but once you're there, bliss...
The room was typical well-appointed Italian hotel quality and a nice bathroom with - great after a day on the road, a tub!
The best part was the La Rochetta restaurant in a beautiful vaulted hall, exquisite appointments and professional service, and then the food and local wine. Fabulous.Written March 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a small and quaint museum with wax statutes dressed in beautiful authentic costumes. The highlight of this place, however, was our guide Maurizio, a great story-teller with a deep knowledge of the history of the region. He told detailed stories about each character with such passion and excitement that it was truly infectious. He that feels like you are seriously makes you feel like you are in his home and he is talking about people he knew. This museum is situated on these beautiful grounds surrounded by trees and brick structures right out of medieval times. A truly beautiful place. This little museum is a must see.Written January 9, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- NFKBNJPrinceton, NJ139 contributionsIf you love Verdi, visiting the Villa Verdi is very special. To see how he lived and composed and loved, gives a wonderful context to his life and work. And the garden is so peaceful and beautiful. But there are some things to know. It is not easy to get to Saint Agata without a car, so if you are not driving yourself, you may need to look into a driver (we had a great one). Secondly, as others have pointed out, the tour is in Italian. We don’t speak Italian but still found it fascinating-just take a little time to learn about Verdi’s life in Saint Agata before you go and it will still be enjoyable and special.Written June 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tasted several wines and came back with bottles of Pantera, Selin and Le Rane. All excellent wines, ottimi vini! I asked about the availability in the USA but they were talking to an importer. Nice light food and great staff too! Forza Luretta!Written October 15, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - h_poelmannhanoi112 contributionsIt is a beautiful experience to take in the simplicity of this era through visiting this town. Also the Collegiata is beautiful and one should take some time to let it sink in. Not just make your snapshot and move on. Take a coffee on a terrace nearby, stroll quietly through the aisles of the church and take your time feeling the quiet.
