- Phil WPerth, Australia232 contributionsYou can get a more scenic and peaceful place like cape leveque. There is 200 km of sealed road now. The problem is the last 7 km is 4 x 4 only and it means it! Sandy way in. Just love the red cliffsWritten September 17, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- JGDynamoCanada2,158 contributionsWe made our way to Smirnoff Beach earlier this week, we had some time to fill on our way from Cape Leveque back to Roebuck and saw that Smirnoff Beach looked incredibly remote. Back country roads in, there is what we ascertained was a private road that lead to the north end of the beach but seeing as we had our 4x4 and were feeling like roughing it, we took the back roads until we found an “adventure track” around Carnot Bay which we followed as far as we could go until our 4x4 could go no further then we had about a half mile walk to Smirnoff Beach along the coastline. If you want to feel like you are on a desert island then this is the spot to be, truly astonishing. It may or may not be private land but we didn’t see anything to keep us out, we enjoyed the scenery, swimming in the water and we took our junk with us so as not to spoil the beauty of it all. An enjoyable detour for us, if you are feeling adventurous and have the time and a good 4x4, check it out.Written September 23, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PejieHoi An, Vietnam69 contributionsStunning church adorned with mother of pearl. An interesting place to go to see and read about some unique Australian history. $10 (cash) donation on entry. It is an active church so you may want to check before going if it is open to tourists on the day/time you are passing through.Written May 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michelle REngadine, Australia330 contributionsDrove the couple of hours up the Dampier Peninsula from Broome. Not much along this road but we finally reached Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm which was this amazing place in the middle of nowhere. We just missed the pearl tour which was unfortunate but we took a walk out to look at pearl farms and had a wander round the property then went and had lunch upstairs in the restaurant/cafe. Great view overlooking the peninsula and a lovely infinity pool and we had a lovely meal and a couple of drinks.
Definitely worth the drive up there to visit.Written May 16, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
