We had a beautiful morning cooking with Maria and Lorenzo! Traditional Sicilian menu with amazing quality ingredients - the food was so delicious, the best we had on our trip (and that was a high bar). Would really recommend a morning at Mamma Corleone.

Excellent cooking session with Antonio who was a superb host; he taught my wife and my 13 year old son how to make an authentic Sicilian 3 course meal. The location is set in a beautiful converted monastery in the mountainside with a swimming pool. It was a terrific experience and well worth the cost. Perfecto, Antonio - Gracia

I had a lovely evening where Graciela shared her passion for cooking with a stunning sunset view. Every course was as delicious as the next. I would definitely repeat this experience. A lovely way to spend an evening in Sicily eating home cooked food made with love.

Vincenzo Clemente is a chef and businessman born in Sicily. He moved to Baton Rouge, Louisiana at the age of 11. Having completed a US business degree and partnering in several US restaurants, Vincenzo returned to Sicily in the late 1990s. Since 1999, he has been running Cin Cin Restaurant in Palermo. Vincenzo is a great hybrid, who knows US and Italian cultures inside and out. He brings a fresh view on Sicilian culture and food.

What we think: Vincenzo is a proud Sicilian with a sincere and deep knowledge of Sicilian food and culture. We were only 2 for the class, and he focused on us and our limited cooking skills. Vincenzo speaks fluent English and did a very good Capo market tour with stops for coffee and street food. He takes clients to his restaurant by taxi, but we chose to walk the 20 minutes from Capo Market to his restaurant. We were glad to walk because Vincenzo gave us a mini history lesson on the area around the restaurant.

Cin Cin Restaurant, where the cooking class takes place, has a well-equipped kitchen, where we immediately began to cook. Vincenzo was very hands on and a good instructor. We made fresh pasta with pesto, caponata, calamari, and a great dessert.

Pros: Very hands on cooking; Vincenzo is informative and engaging; choses local flavors and knows Capo market and merchants well.

    Cons: None

Price was 125 euros per person, which we thought fair. Includes street food tasting, coffee, drinks and lunch.

Bottom line: We both highly recommend Vincenzo’s cooking course. We walked away with a great cooking experience with a nice lunch with Vincenzo.

Had the amazing opportunity of attending a cooking class at this sumptuous cooking school out in the country with an amazing staff who taught us how to make Timballo, stuffed squid and cannoli. After watching and participating in the preparation of these dishes, we enjoyed a wonderful lunch of them, and were joined by the very gracious and personable Anna. Wonderful experience, very enjoyable, highly recommend if you want to see/experience Sicilian food preparation and cooking at its finest.

We had a wonderful day with the Duchess. We started at the market, then into her beautiful kitchen for a hands-on cooking class, and ended in her lovely dining room.
The menu was interesting and easy enough to make at home with the recipes she gave us. Nicoletta is entertaining, and has a wealth of knowledge about the food and culture of Sicily. She makes it easy to learn as she has everyone help making the meal.
    Wonderful experience.

Ceramicist tending the till was charming and friendly - no pressure to buy from him, but he clearly was proud of their work (of course I bought some items!)

As all other reviewers have raved about Marco, so do I. Marco was gracious to book me on a quiet Monday, despite being a sola student. Because I have some experience in the kitchen, I felt more like an assistant than an observer of his techniques; I learned so many “tricks” from Chef. Marco is skilled (of course!), warm, humorous, clear in his instructions, and very encouraging. Sharing our delicious meal together was the “sugar on top of the cannolo” (“icing on the cake”). Using Marco’s recipes and the videos and fotos I took as reminding guides, I’m planning to bring a few friends into my kitchen to see what we can do with some Sicilian dishes (with some Sicilian wine). “Good wine for drinking, and good wine for cooking!” ;-)

Whenever I wear the purchases made here in Palermo, I receive comments and inquiries. The workmanship and design factors are remarkable.

Michael was a great teacher and host. We started with a tour of one of Palermo's famous markets learning about seasonal produce. We were then warmly welcomed to the kitchen and Micheal guided us through making four separate dishes. We love cooking and it was great to learn not just about Scicilian cookery but also a number of tips from a professional chef. Highly recommended.

Imagine you crave the best Italian meal available in Palermo and you cook this meal yourself! Only with Pina (our charming hostess) will you find yourself immersed in the true art of Italian cooking. Pina greets you warmly (as if you were family) and she has the most wonderful home and kitchen. She taught us about Italian food by sharing her expertise. In addition to learning how to make Tiramisu and homemade pasta, we learned special techniques and tips. Pina also provides extras she made before our visit and shared some grilled veggies and spreads with us. This was an amazing experience with a beautiful woman. We found our cooking lesson with Pina to be one of the highlights of our visit to Palermo. Book your own experience as you will not be disappointed. Thank you Pina for sharing your expertise and your love of Italian cooking.
