What travelers are saying
- Supermumof3268 contributionsWhat a beautiful place to visit Be sure to get the tickets to the bell tower. The views are incredible. Well worth the walk up.Written April 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Veronica19 contributionsBeautiful place. I loved the design and the tour was very interesting. I really enjoyed the visit and I would recommend, although getting the tickets is hard as they get sold out very quick.Written April 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marie HZbiroh, Czech Republic201 contributionsThe castle sits on the hill and you can spot it almost from everywhere. Walking up is easy, the park is nice and the views are great. You need to buy a ticket when going inside the castle and make sure you are there for the bells' ringing.Written December 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Supermumof3268 contributionsThis place is actually very interesting. It’s bigger than I expected with lots of information to read about. Even my teenager thought it was interestingWritten April 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Supermumof3268 contributionsThis place is weird and wonderful. Such a haunting place. Smaller than I expected but still worth a visit. Even my teenager thought it was interestingWritten April 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Angela SRiga, Latvia114 contributionsOne of the "must-see" places in Brno, full of legends: about an evil crocodile and greedy officials, punished by the architect who built crooked pillars on the town hall.Written August 30, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Frantisek RuzhaPrague, Czech Republic471 contributionsThe Church of St. Nicholas in Znojmo is a beautiful monument. In my opinion, it is the most beautiful place on the view from the rotunda.Written August 11, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SamNuremberg, Germany11,264 contributionsProbably the biggest and main square in the city. Beautiful buildings around and also the church can be seen. Lot of locals and touristsWritten November 12, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- diver8264Prague, Czech Republic227 contributionsMore extensive than we expected, and the labyrinth is on many levels (lowest 11 metres where there is some standing water to walk through) Our guide was entertaining and knowledgeable, and had no problem switching to English when necessary.
The printed guide is 13 pages long, and as others have mentioned impossible to read in reduced light, but the live guide is more than enough.
Worth 40 minutes of your time.Written October 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - chimayredDurham, NH2,224 contributionssmall admission fee, a little hard to find; interesting history and interesting relics. I would definitely recommend this. Could be a little creepy for young kids what with a good number of dessicated mummies in crypts.Written September 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Jay LMinneapolis, MN142 contributionsTours inside the tower are limited to times when the humidity in the tower is within a certain range--a limit put into place to protect the 11th century frescoes inside the rotunda. We were lucky enough to ask for a tour on a day when the humidity inside the rotunda allowed visitors. We were given audio tours and told not to speak inside the building. We walked inside then turned on our audio tours and listened while the subjects and history of the beautiful frescoes were explained. The audio guide was only about ten minutes long after which we left the building. It's a fantastic experience.Written August 18, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Daydream657704Vilnius, Lithuania14 contributionsA great little gem in Znojmo town, close to the border of Austria. We have found it by accident and were surprised how popular it is. We had to stand in a long line to get the tour (maybe it was "high season").
The tour itself is in czezh language, however, they do give you audio guide in English and a few other languages so you can follow along.
To be honest, even though it was quite interesting, the amount of people in the tour made it lose its mysteriousness. It felt rather crowded as well so if you feel claustrophobic I would not recommend taking the tour.
The great thing is that you can choose the difficulty of the tour. The extreme tour takes you to your knees and make your crawl through very tight entrances. Be warned!Written August 20, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - chimayredDurham, NH2,224 contributionsa gorgeous citadel on a hill with great views, nice but not massive gardens. We didn't go in. Right off the main square in this delightful surprise of a Moravian gem.Written September 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Annamaria A16 contributionsReally beautiful view from the tower, lots of stairs, might be a bit tough, but I managed carrying my dogs in my arms, so totally worth it!Written May 11, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mirosl@vPrague, Czech Republic1,984 contributionsIt was a short visit compare to other churches seen, and to breath a spiritual atmosphere, soothing little bit in our daily pace, between our lunch and moving to visit the business event near... We visited the church only shortly, quietly and took a few photographs...Written September 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
