- Dickdob1053York, UK72 contributionsIt is a very well presented collection with most objects labelled in very good English as well as Czech. The Archbishop of Olomouc was a major political player in European history and this museum really allows you to understand the roots of his power. The volunteer ladies appear somewhat stern but are actually very friendly and willing to help although they do not all speak English.Written November 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PhilipRylahLeeds, UK228 contributionsWe went on a rainy day in the area but it would have been worthwhile whatever the weather. This is a very well thought-out museum with lots of interesting hands-on activities for the kids - including a sit-in gyroscope which our 7 year-old loved. Good value too.Written August 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Barbara S91 contributionsIf you are in Olomouc visiting the Museum of Modern Arts is a must. Personally, I enjoyed the collection of 3rd floor the most where you can find the newest masterpieces. From this floor you can also climb up to the attic and enjoy the sweet view.Written March 29, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kay F.Stara Tura, Slovakia15 contributionsSurprisingly large, lots of things to see: scrap-metal animals, car veterans, welding workshops… and a great view from the light house, if you’re brave enough:)Written April 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - dazzahurhamDurham, UK152 contributionsI'm not a petrol head but I thought this was a great way to spend an hour. Some amazing cars and some signs in English. We'll worth a visitWritten August 27, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- PavlaPavlaChrudim, Czech Republic7,538 contributionsThere are seasonal exhibitions on the ground floor. During my visit it was exhibition about world mysteries and secrets, such as the crystal skull, the Shroud of Turin, Excalibur sword, etc. On the first floor there was another seasonal exhibition about playing cards and their history.
On the second floor there was a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of Olomouc and on the third floor you could find exhibits about fauna and flora. I found very interesting and not too common in the Czech Republic, that some panels with interactive sound elements on the third floor were described in Braille.
I liked an old pharmacy very much. There were real dried herbs and it smelled beautiful there. The museum is worth visiting, it is not big and every one can find something interesting there.
The entrance fee to the museum was 120,- CZK and to the seasonal exhibition 60,- CZK.Written June 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We decided to check it out and —to our surprise— we discovered that it was actually pretty cool, and also free.
Most of the (very extensive) explanations were only available in czech, but we used Google Translator to understand the parts that caught our attention. It was a very complete and well presented introduction.
The second room is dedicated to an impressive collection of objects, weapons and uniforms from the war. They are completely original, well preserved, and from different origins/countries. It is interesting to compare them and think about the context they were used in.
The staff is really kind. At some point we entered a movie projection area and they immediately played a few videos in english, so we could understand. They were actually pretty helpful to learn more about the exhibition.

- Julie F7 contributionsPretty baroque church. The guided tour is accompanied by paper support for foreign languages. Unfortunately, there are not all the explanations, the support deserves to be enriched. We took the option with a tour of the organ and had an awesome demonstration of someone playing us 2 pieces. The cloister and cellars are also interesting.Written September 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
