What travelers are saying
- LauraPipiKaunas, Lithuania9 contributionsWe visited bouth parks in one day. It was not difficult, not overcrowded (Monday). Recomend to visit both places, because they are quite different.Written July 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jamie A11 contributionsIf you have the time and are willing to travel a little out of the way to see the cliffs then definitely do it, provided it's not too bad weather. They are beautiful and there is so much to see and it's very cheap.Written September 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MerelHeerde, The Netherlands27 contributionsThis zoo was the biggest i have ever seen. We parked 2km away since there was aan queue of half an hour for cars, this is also my recommendation for high season. Buying tickets went very quick though. Once inside all the people spread and it wasn’t that busy. The animals were in quite big cages, not all of them. We didn’t do the bus tour but that was a possibility. Great day!Written August 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Tomáš M1 contributionGreat place, great view. But a lot of people. A lot of people from poland throwing garbage everywhere. There is prohibition of walking or sitting on the grass, but Poles doesnt respect it. Please dont be like Poles. There is a special enviroment, that occurs only on this place in Europe. Please be kind to this enviroment.Written August 25, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jakub FCzech Republic452 contributionsThe tower is nicely renovated, I like it. But the view of the parking lot (read: the main square) is not so nice...Written August 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Tom Green ZebraJicin, Czech Republic41 contributionsDuring the summer I visit this castle every week with my clients. Castle is very well preserved and shows how people lived in Middle Age. Interiors are interesting and well preserved too. Staff is helpful and guides are knowledgeable. Tours are in Czech language, but they have nice texts many languages. Recommended!Written September 5, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- navyjim58Czech Republic846 contributionsWe really enjoyed spending time here climbing all over the rocks and taking pictures. You need to be in decent shape to climb the stairs here. Beautiful views. No bathrooms availed and the trails could take up to 4 hours. Cost to get in. Limited parking. Recommend.Written August 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mark RLuxborough, UK131 contributionsOften you go on a war tour its one fortification that you see. Here you have linked a large artillery fortress with its surrounding defensive strong points. You walk and understand how they protected the bigger fortress and as they tell the story how the fortresses were linked in this corner of the Czech / German / Poland border in 1938. Lots of tress now but the views are fantastic, its 2000 feet up but a great place for Czechs to fly kites have a picnic as well as mad Brits doing war tours many many miles from home...this is definitely in the boonies being 2.5 hours drive from Prague.Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ZanderzaidanEast Sussex, UK540 contributionsA very nice monastery with beautiful church. Sadly you cannot visit it independently and need to join a guided tour. There are some materials to read in English but the tour is in Czech only so it’s hard to follow if you don’t speak it. The guide is very passionate and knowledgeable but again a lot can get lost in translation. It is a fairly long visit for the few rooms we visited. Once you get to the final part, the church is actually stunning and well worth the wait. Bathrooms were clean and there’s a coffee shop inside with food and drink. Apparently they do wine tastings but those need to be booked in advance and there was not a lot of information around. Overall the place has great potential but not a lot has been invested in making it tourist friendly.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Frantisek RuzhaPrague, Czech Republic504 contributionsThe castle, including the garden, is a beautiful decoration of the city. But also the devil welcoming in the restaurant Peklo - Bartoňova utulna is sympathetic, even if it is folk art.Written April 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - zizu28Prague, Czech Republic104 contributionsAbsolutely beautiful! Even there were a lot of cars at the parking place, we felt almost alone in the park. It was great. We started at Slavný and went to Hvězda chapel. There we took late lunch and all the trip was great.Written August 24, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Owen KPrague, Czech Republic52 contributionsThis is used to be a hospital, many years ago. The tour around the spectacular building takes about an hour. It is about 1.5 hours drive from Prague, but well worth the trip. There is also a very big herb garden to view.Written July 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
