It’s lovely experience, you can walk through the whole house by yourself just with an audio guide. We paid a little extra money and enjoyed being actually photographed in the historic atelier and in the costumes. Definitely recommend that too. Big thank you to the people there, especially the young guy at the counter. He was really sweet and professional!Written July 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- FLnurseERBoca Raton, FL2,793 contributionsToday is the 20th anniversary of the catastrophic floods of 2002 that caused unbelievable destruction in more than a third of the Czech republic. The flood has destroyed the bridge’s railing as well as a statue of an angel, but the main structure itself has withstood the unbelievable force of the rushing waters and today the historic bridge stands, beautifully repaired, in its full glory.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA2,971 contributionsWe started in central Cesky Krumlov and walked uphill to the train station. From there it’s a moderately uphill climb on an asphalt road to the trailhead at the end of the road. Fairly straightforward to follow the green/white markings. At the top you have obstructed views so you have to pay to go up the tower for the best views. About 6 miles to the top. We decided to continue on to Holubov from Klet. Follow the rough trail that goes under the chairlift until you reach an asphalt trail that takes you down into the valley. Continue until you arrive at Holubov and work your way to the train station. There are close by cafes to kill time as you wait for the train. Eventually, board train for trip back to Cesky Krumlov. A perfect day trip!Written August 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Charming VencaDysina, Czech Republic7 contributionsReally good looking castle, beautiful park. In the park were deer, that could be fed from hand. In the castle is a nice café.Written August 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ilja MPrague, Czech Republic37 contributionsThe castle really worth to visit. There are six visiting routes, I would recommend the route A, B and, if you have children, the so called child route. For those of you, who are interested in middle ages diplomacy, I would recommend to visit the castle museum.Written July 28, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FLnurseERBoca Raton, FL2,793 contributionsWe have visited this château on a Saturday morning around 10 AM. Paid parking lot was completely full and people were parking cars on the back meadow. Although we anticipated big crowds, the large English style park surrounding the château diluted the numbers into a comfortable occasional mingle. From the parking lot, where you can find an ice cream shop and public toilets, we walked downhill about 500 m to get to the Château. We did not go on a guided tour, just admired the central courtyard, and then headed out to explore the deep wide moat. Its walking path almost surrounds the Château and several viewing points allow beautiful vistas of the Orlík dam. The area is very popular with owners of dogs large and small, every second family had their pet on a leash with them.Written August 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - StotheNStockholm, Sweden547 contributionsIt is right at the entrance of the city unless you come in behind and go straight to the castle from the marketplace. It is well built. You can rent kayaks just down beside the water.Written August 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
