Pretty place for a walk, the flower clock is beautiful, not sure how it looks during winter but maybe they still manage to decorate it well.

This attraction is the location of quarries that were once in use. This particular quarry is massive and deep. Parking is limited so I recommend choosing a weekday not during the summer tourist high-season. Also, parking consists of dirt areas cleared out so try to park accordingly that you can't get blocked in by another.

There is no charge to this site and there are a few outlooks from which you can look over the site. The path around the quarry a just a dirt path that become muddy when it rains a little, so dress accordingly. During our visit we saw people stray outside of marked areas. To each their own, but doing so in my opinion could lead to tragic consequences because the fall down into the quarry is a long one.

As I mentioned before this site doesn't have a true path, and will be a big challenge for anyone with physical walking disabilities. Still, it is a nice visit and I can recommend it. If you are visiting the Czech Republic for a short time, then I wouldn't put this on your list because there are better places to see.

The River Vltava is a beautiful river that flows through the " City Of A Hundred Spires " ,,it's the longest river in the Czech Republic ,there are I think 18 bridges in Prague crossing over this river that's just a joy to admire ,along the riverbank are some great boat bars and restaurants ,nothing better than enjoying a beer on a beer boat and watching the river flow by,there's plenty of tourist river cruises that offer great opportunities of seeing this beautiful city from the vantage point of the river ,seeing Charles Bridge up close is amazing,a beautiful river flowing through a beautiful city ,well worth checking out if you're planning a trip to Prague.

One of the few places that you can see bears, which in the forests and mountains are rare and shy. I don’t like to see animals in captivity but they were well looked after and had some good space to move around.

I would recommend this beautiful park to everyone! It is super near to Prague and not crowded at all. The park is also huge so you can spend the whole day there.

The city walls are amazing, really loved them. There is a plan you can walk looking for the different interesting points. We saw a few, not all.

We were looking for the farm place, where the accomodation as well as the farm life observation is possible. Farma Košík was a good idea. Farm is about ten minutes by walk from the pension Tuchom , which belongs to the farm. Accommodation was traditional, clean and sympathetic in the rooms equiped with the wooden hand-painted furniture. It was possible to borrow the baby cot or the books from the bookcase in the corridor. Restaurant is in the ground floor and provides just what we really wish - home made butter, marmelade, cheese, quark, milk and youghurts. You can also eat outside. The window view shows you the meadows with the sheep or the pond. If you go to the farm, you can see different plants and animals there and you can observe the farm´s every day life in very civil atmosphere without the crowds of the people.

New ZOO with main entrance with large parking area. It is recommended to visit the old zoo next to the church first, then the new part, which also houses the souvenir shop and toilets and a restaurant area with a covered terrace. The old one very well kept and most animal species and then the new one where bears, camels and lions, a play area for the kids. The new part is still under development and from the camels it is still a 750 m walk unfortunately.

Probably the most beautiful park in the Czech republic, particularly in spring when everything is blooming. Kid's playground close to the entrance. Bathrooms refurbished a few years ago. You can also buy plants, drinks and snacks there.

Visiting Velká Amerika, the “Czech Grand Canyon” and the Karlštejn Castle are the perfect day trip from Prague. Round trip train tickets are only 90 Korun per person (less than $4 USD and cheaper if you buy a multi-person ticket). It will take roughly 45-minutes on the train to travel from The Prague Main Train Station to the station in Karlštejn. Follow others on the short walk from the train station to the cute town of Karlštejn. From there it’s impossible to miss the castle that sits up on the top of the hill. After a steep climb uphill you will make it to the base of the castle where you can opt to do a 60-minute tour of the castle (offered in numerous languages). We decided to skip the tour and take pictures from the outside of the castle in order to save more time for our hike to Velká Amerika. We found someone working at the castle that spoke English to point us in the direction of the trailhead (which we had passed on our walk up to the castle). I have to admit we got lost a few times on our journey to the Grand Canyon. The trails are poorly marked and the only thing directing us was our phone’s GPS and the trees marked with yellow lines. After a 2-hour journey we made it to the Small America where we ate our picnic lunch. 30 minutes later we found ourselves at the Big America, which truly was an amazing site. Be prepared to get lost (it’s part of the adventure!) and leave extra time for your hike. The walk back to town was a breeze and only took an hour and a half. I highly recommended this day trip!

A nice park with a good potential to attract families with young (only) children. PROS: A spacey park with typical farm animals but also less expected species such as are camels and lamas. An indoor park for the case of rain, refreshment stands, a tube slide, monkey trail for the small ones and several play and rest areas. The park is in a hilly terrain, occupying a rather steep slope ending with a valley with small forested creek. The park is still expanding. CONS: The slope is quite steep so pushing a pram uphill can be an ordeal, notably on a hot day. Only a few grown trees providing shade along the paths. Some trees were planted but it will take years for them to provide the desired shade. The tube slide is not for free on weekends, which is a little ridiculous given the price of the entrance fee.

I am a 20 year old, and normally i don’t like to go out and about in zoos and what not. However the assortment of animals in the habitats is really cool! the monkeys are super cute because i went and the adult monkeys had babies and they were super cute! As well as the cats we’re super cool too! they had lions, tigers, leopards, and cheetahs. I really like these kinds of animals because they are interesting to watch!

This place is good and romantic for sunset. But actually there isn’t anything to do. So, max stay is 15 minutes. Not far from Prague, 30km. You park your car and walk through field into a forest. It’s around 0.5km between parking place and actual view point.

An interesting rock formation, the climb up from the parking lot is steep but not long, it can be done within 5 to 10 minutes. This formation is the best in Europe with the initial stages of block sandstone decay which is documented. It is easy to get here by public bus from Melnik (22 CZK about 20 min) or by walking the red trail from Kokořin Castle or using blue one from Mšeno. You can make interesting cycle on blue and green trail to Apatyka gorge, formation Faraon, Zaba and Hlava. Ad interesting wetlands with unique fauna and flora. It can be done in relax way within 90-120 minutes.
