From the moment you see the towering spire of the monastery bell tower above the city of Czestachowa until you depart the monastery complex, you can't help but be wowed. The site is a main destination for religious pilgrims from around the world. Pope John Paul II visited at least five times and the site has also be visited by Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis. The main feature/attraction of the monastery complex is the Black Madonna idol housed in the Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. The Baroque basilica is huge and incredibly decorated with gild and valuable paintings. There are usually huge crowds visiting the monastery on any given day.

Nikiszowiec is very original, beutiful and interesting place. There are many places to discover there and interesting stories to listen about them. It is completely different than other turistic places in Poland.

Ogrodzieniec Castle is a ruined medieval castle in Podzamcze, near Ogrodzieniec.  It is situated on the top of 515.5-metre-high Castle Mountain- the highest hill of the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. The ruins are open to visitors( adult ticket about 5 eur) and are a part of Trail of the Eagles' Nests, a hiking trail that connects a number of well known castles in the region. We were lucky visitting this castle total alone as it was week day and cold weather.

The Black Madonna is the main attraction of the Jasna Gora monastery. Believers and gawkers from around the world come to pay homage, pray for miracles, or simply observe the throngs of faithful, zealots, fanatics (whatever it is you choose to call them). The monastery complex, basilica, and various chapels are incredible to see.

An excellent museum which, luckily, can be visited without a guided tour. The furniture and artwork is original and in its original location. The place has a clearly Anglo-Saxon feeling to it - in contrast to the more Polish residencies such as Nieborow, Kozlowka, or Lancut. The park is large and very pleasant. The neighboring town square is really beautiful too. The only problem is parking - the only available parking is at the Zubrowisko - where they show Polish bison. It's an easy walk to the castle from there. Don't even think of parking in the old town - whether legal or illegal, it is simply impossible to park there.

It is an interesting place to visit. There are 3 different routes with 3 different difficulty levels. A lot of original and still functioning equipement which is put into motion by the guide. The easiest trip takes circa 2 hours and ends in the underground pub 320 meters below ground.

A large palm house with countless exotic plants, a very pleasant place to spend an hour or so. Quite unnecessary to torment the poor animals by putting them in such small cages though...

If You have a chance to visit the place - You should definitely do it and enjoy both beauty of the building and its interior as well as acoustics which are definitely one of the best in Europe! It's very popular and busy - so tickets for major events are selling quickly. You should look for them in advance!

I recommend a great place today I visited worth visiting and memories. The Witches' Cauldron has launched a new sightseeing route, during which we can learn most of the secrets of the giant from Chorzów, as well as a vantage point located right under the roof of the facility, which offers a magnificent view. biological room and a trainer's room, which during concerts turns into artists' wardrobe. We go through the tunnel to the pitch, and then along the stadium mezzanine we go to the newly opened cinema and museum of the Silesian Stadium. The last point of view is the viewpoint that is open today. It is a platform located 26 m above the pitch, just below the very roof of the stadium, with a beautiful view of both the stadium and the Silesian Park.
