Broad amazing street with lots of caffees, shops and sights. The main street of Lodz with an interesting story.
It is almost always over-crowded, but it does not lose its charm because of it. This place is a must-visit in the first turn when you come to Lodz. There are a lot of little and interesting monuments.

This is a place where you can feel relaxing from very first step done. You can listen your steps - it is so much calm and you feel like at home. The place was build by Karol Schreiber one of the most popular industrialists in 📍Łodz.
The pace has it’s own small railway station, hospital, bank, pharmacy, stores, groceries and many restaurants and pubs. I can recommend Czech 🇨🇿 restaurant “Cesky film” and “Browar Ksiązy Młyn” 🍺

If you walk to fast you might miss this street...we nearly did! The mirror mosiac is so intricate and detailed. I suffer with cataracts so this was amazing through my eyes and I would like to return and see it again when my cataracts have been removed :D

While in Uniejów for a seminar at the castle, I walked into town to see the Collegiate Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, which was founded in 1349. I was in luck; a service had just concluded and one of the nuns was about to lock up when I approached the door. She was very kind and allowed me to enter the church and take several photographs of the beautiful interior. I'm grateful I was able to visit this church.

Good to see, if you like planetarium: You can join the introductions to the planet in several kind of projection. For example winter sky; Sky about Lodz ect.
Additional they offer the music presentation of famous group in the planetarium. Unfortunate I did joint Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of The Moon , but it must be good fun to be there during the movie.

I have visited the Museum Piwowarstwa together with my friends during our sightseeing of Piotrków. Our visit was pre-booked, so at the start we had a degustation of excellent local beer produced in the city. Then a guide showed us past and modern techniques of beer production. We have learn a lot. There is a small shop there where you can buy local beer and hop-based cosmetics and beer related gadgets, i.e. T-shirts etc. Moreover, in Piotrków there is beer-spa in Vestil hotel. Also worth visiting.

Visited last year and had a great time. Place is taken care of but not manicured. Convenient parking lot near by. Great place to take a walk with the family and take some pictures. Amazing geological features especially for curious people.

The Radegast Station during the World War II was transformed into a station used to deliver food and industrial materials to the ghetto. The station’s building standing to this day was built in 1941 and in the same year the station became the final point of trains transporting Jews from western European countries and provincial ghettos from Wartheland.
Currently the Station is under the care of the Museum of Independence Traditions and it is a must to see when you are in Lodz.

Karol Schreiber - one of the largest Łódź manufacturers built Księży Młyn📍- a factory - residential complex, a kind of city in the city. Consists of planned, architecturally structured factory buildings, housing estates, owner residences and villas with gardens, as well as streets and railway 🚃 sidings, school 🏫, two hospitals 🏥, fire bridge , shops and a factory club. Currently the area includes lofts, industrial zone, Herbst Palace- Museum, Book Museum, art studios, restaurants and cafes. Park Źródliska is just 5 minutes by walk🙂

The most heartbroken for me was the death of Edward and Matylda Herbst’s daughter - Anna Marie in her 9 years. The picture with bedroom belongs to her. Later parents will build the biggest in Poland hospital that take care of poor families’ children under name of their daughter “Anna Marie”

My visit to this Arkadia park was neither expected nor planned as I had never heard of it before. Whilst in Lowicz, I was advised to explore it. Lovely and worth paying this entrance fee.

If your plans to visit the Loire Valley failed to materialise and you are in Poland you can still visit a medieval chateau located on an island in the middle of a lake. Oporow is a small late medieval castle strategically located near the place where two Polish highways A1 and A2 meet so regardless of whether you are crossing Poland north-south or east-west it takes less than 25 kilometres to get here.
The castle was originally built in the mid-15th century and it was a living castle until the end of the Second World War when it was almost immediately made into a museum. The castle is quite small - the living quarters for servants are nearby, you can rent a room there - and the collection does not consist of masterpieces but it successfully gives the visitor an impression what life in a small castle off the main route could have been like in the past. A perfect place if you need a rest during your trip. You can see the castle and then get lost in the surrounding park.
PS The address above is wrong - the Castle is located in the village called Oporow some 20 km to the east of Kutno.
