Duna-Ipoly Nemzeti Park is a beautiful area worth visiting. This park encompasses areas in Budapest, Pest County, Komárom-Esztergom County and Fejér County.
We went to Kiralyret (Szokolya) north Pest County to start our excursion to explore Duna-Ipoly NP. The Borzsony forest was beautiful.
It is about a 1-hour drive from Budapest.
    It is worth visiting!

The place is full with marzipan creations - historical figures, athletes, buildings, fairy tales moments...a 30 minute walk
There are the proofs a great creative work....
On the ground floor there is a pastry shop where you can buy a great variety of marzipan figures.

We visited the Hungarian Open Air Museum on a working day in July 2020.
It was big and spacious. Unfortunately the train inside the area did not operate. :-(
There were only a few people around, mostly young children in groups.
Admission fee was HUF 2,000 for adults. (Under the age of 6, it was free.)
Parking for passenger car was HUF 900 and you could only pay by cash.
All in all, it was nice program to see how our ancestors were living!

We really enjoyed our visit and I would return with other friends. There are many items and I’m sure we’d see something we missed last time.

The views are amazing in a clear day. You can drive or walk up the hill. The car park does get full quickly. We were lucky enough to get in early. The entry was about 1700HUF for adults. There are a few steps but that’s all fine.

Although we took a tour, the driver insist we get out and walk thru the garden park. It was glorious. Its a great park to walk thru., Real people (not tourists) walk here with their dogs and kids have a place to play. We were tired from our visit to the Palace so we decided to walk again thru the park to rejuvenate. A great idea. So try it at least once when you visit the palace.

Easily accessible from Batthyány tér on the HEV (suburban railway) and about a 40 minute ride. From the station it is a 5 minute walk to the old town. I spent my time wandering round, looking at the building and absorbing the atmosphere. I walked in a few back streets, visited two excellent churches and walked down to the Danube. I ignored all the touristy shops. There are plenty of places to eat if you're bhungry. A lovely place and well worth a visit.

The building is in a very cool environment, kinda feel yourself in a horror movie. The castle is an architectural brilliance, but in the inside, it needs to be renovated. Its style is neo reinessaince, and it was built in 1883, by Miklos Ybl, the famous hungarian architect.

I wasn't familiar with the works of Margit Kovacs so nearly didn't go into this museum, but am really glad that I did. Her work is widely known in Hungary, but not so much outside. The museum looks very small and discreet from the outside, but you go in and out of different building using a central courtyard so it is much larger than expected. The ceramic work was very interesting, some of it quite touching. The work was displayed extremely well, nice signage in Hungarian and English with lots of little video screens around.
The security guards keep a very close eye on visitors here which is to be expected when dealing with such fragile exhibits. When at reception, you have to place any bulky bags in a free locker, as you

We visited here today. There was a nice selection of shops, not the bargains we have experienced at other outlet malls in the world but we all came away with a few new items of clothing. Lots of places to eat, lots of parking, toilets etc. Well worth a visit.

It's a very nice place, the museum part is surprisingly informative and exciting, it was a longer visit than we expected. We will come back again.
P.s. The pálinkas are very tasty.

We had silver grandstand tickets, day one we was gold 4, day two we was silver 5 and day 3 we was silver 1. Each day we had amazing views.

Day 1, due to 35* heat I fainted due to lack of shade, paramedics and doctors were amazing could not have thanked them enough, the dr was video calling a paramedic down at stands so I did not miss practise when I was receiving treatment and alert and paramedic was showing me the points.

Plenty of food options even if you are gluten intolerant like myself.

Alcoholic drinks are expensive if you do not drink beer but soft drinks are reasonably priced.

Very busy and portaloos were very dirty but the toilets within buildings were clean.

Taxis are very expensive at the end of the night and queues are massive, so recommend using the public transport, even though queues are very long they go down so quickly compared to taxis and it’s a very easy route back to centre.

I had an amazing weekend for my first f1 experience!
