Beautifully restored this magnificent art work is a landmark in art history and in any visit to Padova.
A great occasion to enjoy a special place in Padua: the Scrovegni chapel is a unique site of beauty.

In addition to the church and all it's side chapels, sanctuaries and tombs, there's also extensive cloisters to visit and a museum on site, but that requires a fee while the church itself is free.
The various stations of the walk included major artistic/ spiritual landmarks within the church, including laying hands on St Anthony's tomb, looking at his relics, etc.

The whole circuit of walls has now been restored and can be walked around, affording wonderful views to the pre-Alpi over Bassano, Grappa and Conegliano to the north and north-east.
From the top of the wall there is a great view both of the interior, old town, but also of the lovely town out on the other side of the fully surrounding moat.

Within relatively easy reach of several other sights such as the superb Prato della Valle oval gardens and moat adorned with statues of Artists, Poets, Philosophers, Scientists and more.
Many museums to see as the History of Medicine and Civic Museum as well as Observatory of La Specola and the Bo’ Palace historic site of ancient University one of the oldest in the world.

From my point of view better than the Scrovegni chapel If you get a museums pass for 24 hours you'll get free entrance.
For the best views, take your binoculars as it's hard to see some of the ceiling paintings from the ground.

The calming sensation, sculptures, sounds of running water blended with the sights of couples sitting on the grass all with a background of gentle bustling sounds of the flea market nearby make this place unforget...
Gorgeous place to rest after walking all day, stunning views, close to the Basilica, plenty of shade, markets as well.

The views of the Italian countryside from the terraces are fantastic, and the villa itself is big and old and very beautiful.
From the site of the villa visitors can enjoy superb views on the surrounding down to Padua.

The tour was unhurried with plenty of time to view the fantastically fresh frescos which tell the family history ( both real and untrue!) Worth every euro.

The magnificent rectangular building is supported by arches on all four sides, providing protective arcades, while the open loggia on the second floor provides a birds' eye view of the center of the city.
