Northern slope of Śnieżnica mountain in Kasina Wielka village is a very popular spot for all skiers. But since July 2017 it has just extended it's abilities, after the owners invested in mountain bike trails. When we got there in first day of July this place has reopened for summer season and many events were held for bikers also for other tourists just like us. Still a bit messy at the bottom station of the ski/bike chair lift, as not all building works has been done on time, and the top lift station looks like it was at the beginning of the construction work. I would imagine skiers will still be the main source of ski slope owners, but bikers would definitely keep this place alive even in warmer part of the year. Absolutely worth a visit, with or without a bike, if only for the views from the top of the ski slope.

Located just next door to train station car park in Kasina Wielka, this is one of over 400 military cemeteries built in souther Małopolska in 1914/15, during the WWI. Designed by Gustaw Ludwig. It is a final resting place for 20 soldiers of Austria-Hungary Army, and one soldier of German Army. Some unprofessional refurbishement in recent years mixed up all national symbols on thombstones, so now it is hard to find out where exactly certain soldiers have been burried.

It's worth going inside. A beautiful interior worth reading about. From the outside, the church is well-kept and visible from a distance.

After visiting many of those WWI cemeteries, dotting South Małopolska landscape in large numbers, all located in very nice places, most of them secluded, hard to reach, we came across this one, located in the town centre, pushed into the corner of a large parish cemetery... But maybe it's been it's recipe for long life, as it is in mint condition, comparing to some overtaken by nature forces, hidden somewhere on mountains slopes. Very close from the main entrance from Matejki street, just turn right after walking through the gates. Very small area extra fenced, with about 30 graves. 20 Austria-Hungary, 2 German and 10 Russian soldiers lie here side by side, although they were enemies in their days.
