As we both found our way walking up to the cellar door we were surrounded by vines, which really enhances this winery.
Your host is generous with his time and knowledge, the tasting experience was one of best we have done in recent times.

We thought we would order 2 of the Ploughman Platter as the price was so reasonable but our lovely server suggested we start with one.Good advice- it was HUGE & absolutely the best platter Ive ever had -so delicious.
It was filled with local meats, cheeses, homemade baba ganoush, chargrilled vegetables, etc with a very generous supply of pita bread crackers.

If you’re passing through Bruthen make sure you stop here for an ale (or two) and a brilliant range of food too
The Seafood platter was faultless for what we wanted and the rest, well there was very few leftovers.

We nibbled the delicious, Spiced Maple Nuts (made by Jen, one of the owners) with our beers as we sat by the wood burner.
The outdoor area with the view of the snow capped mountains is also particularly gorgeous in spring.

:) We’re staying in Lakes Entrance for a couple of weeks so we’ll probably be back to enjoy a glass of wine in the courtyard (it was a bit too windy to do that today)!
East Gippsland is very surprising as the whole area including this fine winery are producing very good unadulterated wines.
