The cathedral is very nice with interesting naves , architecture and so on but where it differs from most is that you have unrestricted access to the roof where you get amazing views Over Guardia and the surrounding countryside - fantastic.

This is a beautiful church located at the entrance to the old town. You can visit this church, but on the moment we were there it was closed. She is located in the same place where, in the reign of D. Sancho II, the second Cathedral who got destroyed, existed, the church of Misericórdia also had, as antecedent, another temple built in the 17th century, but already dedicated to this institution. It is possible that the church obeyed a Jesuit or Filipino-inspired plan.

Probably one cannot state that this city is beautiful but it has something very interesting for people looking for Jewish heritage. Take a plan of the Jewish itinerary and walk according to it, you’ll be quite surprised with the resources quantitate. Enjoy!

we used a hall in the Theater for meetings with local tourist operators and services, the place is big and modern, and also offers artistic offerings.

on the top of the hill, overlooking the whole area from above, this fortress and later castle dominated the village of Guarda, interesting visit, to understand, how many times the place was conquered and reconquered.

The staff at the welcome centre were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped us to navigate our way around and pointed out a number of interesting sights we would otherwise have missed.

Manigoto local Association museum, part of GAM, have a nice collection of pieces and artifacts representative of the local history and culture.
But Manigoto itself worth a visit. Try to walk through their streets, see some other landmarks and appreciate the landscape.

We had the privilege of having Fernando guiding us through an afternoon visit to Vilar Maior & Vale Carapito. That included a gentle 4h+ walk, a wonderful encounter with the Sorraia horses, and exquisite observations of the native turtles in the wild. Looking forward to repeat in Faia Brava and tap further into the wealth of knowledge that Fernando shares with a smile. Thank You

After several postponements due to COVID, we eventually arrived in northern Portugal. We had a very enjoyable off road trip with Dream Overland, and visited some beautiful remote areas that we hadn’t known about before. Jose is not only a great guide, but great company too He is full of knowledgable info about the local area, culture, & wildlife, and he always chose our evening campsites carefully We thoroughly enjoyed our trip, and we would not hesitate to recommend him to others wanting a memorable off road experience

We had the great pleasure to meet Daniel and enjoy his hospitality and share in his knowledge of wine. It was truly a fantastic experience. The variety of wine he stocks is amazing and the food platters are excellent. I highly recommend Bago a Bago
