- kila99Hampshire, UK55 contributionsA treat for five girls get together. We arrived at 5.30 pm and food was booked for 5.45pm. However checking took a fair bit of time and made up late. The changing rooms were a good size. Not many cubicles to get changed in though and showers were not that hot at end of evening. When we got to the restaurant part he food was delicious. We all opted for starter salad and main salad. Service was good.
The pools were busy and because it’s a big place it’s not that quiet. The sauna and steam room were of good size. We had the flotation pool booked which was lovely. Especial the products they let you try after.
We left slightly before time was up as we thought everyone would be checking out at same time and be busy. As you have to scan your card and pay and extras. The outside pool looked lovely. Not as much outside seating though as I would of expected. The time went quick. The plunge pools were really good. We paid £105 for evening with food and flotation pool. Would recommend going. The spa staff were very helpful and friendly and I had the most relaxing full body massage from Diana. The pool area was very relaxing and clean although the loungers really need new cushions as a lot of them are badly frayed.
We then went to the restaurant for a 3 course meal. There were 2 menus to choose from, one of them being Indian. My friend chose to order from the other menu while I chose from the Indian. Neither of us were disappointed. The presentation was excellent and the taste delicious. I would also like to commend our waiter (we should have asked his name) who was so attentive and friendly. Very clean and well kept. Building doesn't look run down like most leisure centres. It was filled with happy and helpful staff everywhere. Get what you pay for.

- mazmarzoAldershot, UK98 contributionsI came here for a massage with my wife on Monday 2nd January. I had the signature massage whilst my wife had a Thai massage. From the moment we arrived it was a relaxing professional experience.
The receptionist was extremely friendly, we filled out our consultation forms and then taken through to our double treatment room. The therapists were excellent, both treatments were so good.

I have to agree with other reviewers about the state of the gowns (had to exchange my daughters as it had make-up stains all round the collar). The staff were vague and rather disinterested, didn't appear to know what was included in a spa day, and no help was given about where to change, locking the lockers (you need your own padlock). Half the jets in the Jacuzzi weren't working. The afternoon tea was only saved by the scones, the sandwiches were uninspired. We ended the day in the treatment room. I had informed the spa a week earlier my daughter couldn't have a facial, and they agreed to swap this out for a mani/pedi. On arrival they denied any knowledge but eventually agreed to paint her nails (certainly not a manicure). Although my facial and massage was lovely I wanted us both to enjoy the whole day, but the poor customer service really let it down. - Katy TReading, UK3 contributionsI booked two massages here using Groupon and in all honesty, I think it could've been MUCH better..
Firstly, the appointment was booked for 10am.. the shop didn't open until after 10am which was a bit worrying. Next, when we greeted the therapists and told them that we were here for a massage they simply pointed at a sofa and told us to wait, with no explanation of what was happening; they didn't even ask us who we were or check on their system that we were booked in. I would assume that this was a normal thing to do in this sort of establishment?
Eventually one of us was called in… I followed in about 15 minutes later after the manager had finished her phone call. The massage room felt very small and clinical - a thin screen separated the two beds. There was barely enough room to move comfortably and I guess if you were sharing the room with someone you didn't know, it wouldn't offer much privacy. There was some odd, relaxing music playing from a small stereo on the floor, but not much else. I was told to sit on the bed and the masseuse disappeared again - having never had a massage before I wasn't sure how I was supposed to lie on the bed (as stupid as that sounds), so some instruction would've been good.
The massage itself was quite nice - it felt as though my head, neck, shoulders and back had been thoroughly worked and we were both feeling very relaxed afterwards. The only negatives I have was the personal phone call that my masseuse took half way through the massage and the interrogation that soon followed on when I was going to book another appointment. Other that that, it was very nice. However, the massage was supposedly meant to be an hour and a half long but we were done in just under 45 minutes. Secretly I was relieved to be leaving!
At the time of my visit I think this place was relatively new, so it may improve with time. Until then I think it has a long way to go, especially with regards to customer service. Simply welcoming us to the shop would've made a good first impression and maybe offering some sort of beverage? Even a glass of water would've been appreciated.
Overall it was okay - I enjoyed the massage itself but the quality of service, lack of people skills and the attitudes of the staff severely let it down. The afternoon before (today) I called them to enquire about the time of our treatments. The gentleman on the call told me they were fully booked. Asked for my phone number and email address, 2 minutes later I got an email telling me they were full and asking if I wanted an alternative date.
I asked for a refund and someone to complain to. This is terrible treatment, I got a response that said ‘As far as I am concerned, they did not inform us about your booking. You will need to complain to the company you booked through.’ No apology for the mix up and disappointment or the lateness of letting us know. If we had more time, we could have booked somewhere else.
