Most of the plants are discretely labeled which is a great help to the enthusiastic gardener, and many of the plants you see will be for sale on site so it is very tempting to take a few treasures home with you.
The mature garden is beautifully laid out with a good variety of settings, wooded areas, lawns, a wild flower meadow, enclosed areas, water features and herbaceous borders.

This is a really wonderful day out and a visit to the local church which is also very steeped in history with the Spencer family crypts as well as the Spencer family burial ground set aside in the grounds.
From the reception given by Andy at the entrance, to the enthusiasm of the volunteers in the rooms (especially Diane whose knowledge was encyclopaedic) and the excellent cream teas made the visit memorable.

The cafe is also first class, staff are always efficient and smiling, especially Jo, I am pleased to recommend the farm shop to anyone looking for a nice lunch out of the raw ingredients to make it themselves!
