Nearly lost my mind with excitement when I found that was the reason for us visiting the place!! Kevin is a genius storyteller, and kept us all engaged and entertained.
He makes the whole experience magical for the children and absolutely hilarious for the adults!

With lots of money, exciting plans and Anne’s passion, this fort could become a huge tourist attraction but for now and at only 6€ it’s well worth a visit to go back in time and imagine the soldiers keeping watch...
Tour guide Sean was excellent, explained everything in great detail and was a wealth of knowledge.

The cliff walks are great, and the walks behind Howth castle provide stunning views of a wall of rhododendrons that when they blossom in late April to early May are at peak.
Great views, end or start of a great hike

Roundwood

Absolutely perfect for what it is; a cleansing of the mind & spirit with a touch of perfect humour.
The attention to detail and the quirky sense of humor from the artist really makes it enjoyable.

Climbing the round tower, one of only two in Ireland where this is possible, to the viewing platform is well worth the effort.
This is a must see and while you would pay an entrance fee every penny goes to the upkeep and maintenance of the cathedral.

Fore Abbey

County Westmeath
#94 of 788 Sights & Landmarks in Province of Leinster
Would recommend to anyone with even a minor interest in local history as it is a memorable spot in Co. Westmeath.
Check out the information about the seven wonders in the car park, follow the trail down to the Abbey, looking out for some of the wonders on the way down.

I would recommend visiting the 1978 Rebellion centre first as you would have a better appreciation of Vinegar Hill and the battle.
This hill provides stunning views and is also important from historical point of view.

The additional surprise to this walk was on my way back, I walked along the coast in a trail that is part of a nature reserve.
