Amazing place. Lovely scenery. Walking shoes required as narrow in places. Lots of people to chat to as you walk even if you only speak a little polish.

Coffee hut at the top but very steep walk down. My poor knees are suffering now. Defiantly worth a visit and if at the bottom your too tired to walk back the taxi bus passes by for very few plz.

A beautiful stroll through a forgotten place on a hill, a reminder of the important Jewish community that once lived here. Free to access and an easy 5 min walk from parking area off the main road through the town.

Bukowe Berdo is a large masif within Worek Tarnicy (Tarnica bag) complex, being its northern gateway. Long ridge of Bukowe has three peaks, with the highest reaching 1311 m., and its highest parts are covered by "połonina", which stands for high altitude meadows, which used to be tough but plentiful pastures used by locals living around till WWII, then after the war for not entirely thought out state run huge cattle farms, and since it became part of Bieszczadzki Park Narodowy (national park) in 1973 it is left alone for hikers to enjoy. Major trail, marked in blue, and sometimes called "Karpacki" runs the lenght of Bukowe, and is a best way to enjoy the mountain - but, depending on an exact route, it is a long and strenuous hike, with many sharp ascends and there are no shortcuts between the middle of th ridge and Tarnica peak to quickly descend to any human settlements. The only way to cut such hik short is to go down on yellow trail towards north, to very small settlement of Muczne, which isn't cconnected with the world by any public transport, the only option in case of emergency is to contact local forestry people. Superb views form Bukowe Berdo, reaching far into Ukrainian part of Bieszczady, also pretty much the wole part of Polish Bieszczady can be visible, with only top of Tarnica - the highest in Polish Bieszczady - missing, even if it's ever so close - this is due to its strangely shaped peak. Great place for any hikes.
