Remember to go to the other church under the cooperative too- Chiesa dei Santi Filippo e Giacomo which is very close (on spaccanapoli) and you can buy the 2 churches entrances in 1 discounted ticket.
Having popped in to see the "skull with the ears", my friend and I were delighted to discover much more about the history of Chiesa di Santa Luciella and burial rituals in southern Italy.

The old cars, motorcycles and bicycles from bygone days around World War 2 were curious, and the sheer scale of some of the tunnels was mightily impressive.
Great chance for some photographs particularly of the "rubbish" found dumped into the tunnels as they have been excavated- old cars/motorbikes/childrens toys and artefacts from underground living from WW2.

Clever VR effects bring it even more to life as you can imagine breadmaking in the bakery , the life of a slave or how other more fortunate citizens of this long buried ancient town worked and dressed.
Opening a door of a nearby building let us onto a Roman street!!!! Walking down and through you can see what would have been shops, shop windows, steps up and down, and even a bakery with standing corn/wheat grind...
