I bought the combined ticket with a visit to the Verulamium museum and I'm glad I walked over the road to see the Roman Theatre, as it provides further background on the lives of the people during Roman times.
This, together with Verulamium Park, the site of the original roman city, make a terrific walk from the cathedral.
