- lyf_of_karBengaluru, India7 contributionsOne of the falls outside of Bangalore and Mysore.
Best for people looking for a one day ride / drive from the city and enjoy a bit of pleasant time here.
There's stairs that'll lead to the view point.
I would suggest you to avoid weekends as it's usually crowded at times.
The place has ample parking space.
You'll get some snacks here along with tender coconut and sugarcane juice vendors.
and there is pay and use toilet complex.
Place is best suited for families with kids and elderly, friends, couples etc
More or less, everyone can visit the place.
At the time of my visit, there was some construction going on, maybe extending the view point?Written October 1, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Bala Tripura SBengaluru, India3,234 contributionsThis place is just on outskirts of srirangapatna which might be around 5 kms from busstand. We can hire an auto to go to the base of the hill and we can climb the steps from there. We can see God in three forms Bhoga srininvasa, yoga srinivasa and srinivasa.Written April 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Aditi D41 contributionsThe place overall is quite good, but gets crowded due to the temple for which you have to pass through the Bheemeshwari Sanctuary. If you are staying, please stay only at the JLR accommodation. The wildlife dept. have not demaracated any routes for safaris as such, which they need to do. We saw a couple of wild boars and some deer.Written December 19, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

The preserved coins and details described all preserve the truth of work by Tiger of Mysore Tipu Sultan.
Of course the great sacrifice of surrendering his kids the sacrifice of its kind in history. Need to trek a little bit for reaching the point! But the rocks and the water will make your self refreshing. The road isn't good and the trail is also not clear.Written January 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Debashis GKrishnanagar, India71 contributionsA very peaceful place oblivious of the chaotic surroundings. It's really strange how silent this place is, given the main road is just next to it! I usually go there to their canteen. They serve pure veg thali, with unlimited refills of roti, rice or the sides. The thali is priced at INR 100 per head and they will never say no to you asking for more. Their only request - don't waste food. I'd recommend visiting the canteen if you're around this place!Written January 30, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- TravelExplorer_2005Bengaluru, India1,279 contributionsThis temple is located on the banks of River Shimsha, a tributary of River Cauvery, running near Maddur Town. It is about 6 kms from Maddur town bus stand.
The temple history dates back to Hoysala Kingdom times. The Lord Shiva called as Vaidyanatheswara here, is in the form of a snake. There is a ant hill inside the garbha guddi (sanctum sanctorium) of the temple.
People offer prayers and sevas to Lord Vaidyanatheswara to get rid of any illness they are suffering from. The temple performs Panchamrutha Abhishekam twice a day. You can call up the Purohits and book your slot for performing this abhishekam.
This temple is of reverance in the old Mysore area. Do visit this temple if you are travelling to Maddur/Mandya on the Bangalore - Mysore highway. You can hire autos from Maddur bus station to this place.Written April 30, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Trinetra7Mysuru (Mysore), India409 contributionsWe went by road in our own car from Mysuru. The distaance iss around 80 km from Mysuru to Givindanahalli via Pandavapura, KR Pet and Kikkeri. The temple is located about 5 km from Kikkeri in a beautiful village surroundings.
It is a 12th century temple build in a sprawling ground by the side of a lake. When we enter inside the temple, we land in a long pillared hall which is very beautiful. There are five Shiva lingas in five different Garbhagrihas side by side opened to the pillared hall. Each linga is named after different names of Lord Shiva (Vamadeva, Aghoreshwara, Eshaneshwara etc). There is a Ganesha idol near Vamadeva Garbhagriha which makess metallic sound.
The temple is well maintained by Archeological Survey of India (ASI). There will be special Poojas on Mondays and Shivrathri day.
