- Annie A5 contributionsBeautiful venue to see a concert. Premium parking is worth it. If you don't get it, plan on walking for a while longer from the lot to the gates (think Disney World). Only bad thing is that there is only one road in and out, so traffic is a pain!Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MikecarstopNew City, NY436 contributionsWe saw Beautiful, Carol King story. Excellent singing and dancing, the sets and the costumes matched the times of her life. It was A WOW OF A SHOW. We truly
enjoyed it. The theater is in a barn like building with up to date technology and the seats are comfortable . There are numerous shows throughout the season. If attending a weekend show leave earlier to find parking. People arrive to eat at the tavern, then see the show. Once the parking lot is fillled, street parking is available but lookout for the ditches on the side of the road. I will return to see The Rocky Horror Show in October. Kudos to all.Written August 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Barb T1 contributionThe Walton theater is a gem! I will definitely try to see movies at this venue rather than in Oneonta when possible,. (They play one movie at a time so you have to check ahead to see what is playing .)
There are many things to recommend this theater. First it’s a beautiful place. Second because it’s a theater, there are hundreds of seats and you are guaranteed a great unobstructed view, a more realistic sound level that won’t blast you out of your seat, the tickets are cheaper than at typical movie venues and you get great value for your snacks. For example, a medium popcorn cost three dollars. And they use real butter!Written April 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And I have been equally enthralled when being an audience member as well. The venue (the historic Byrdcliffe Theatre) is a unique, intimate space to see theatre. If you are in Woodstock, check them out!Written April 20, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Marianne1 contributionI have seen 3 compelling plays produced by this professional theatre company. The material is contemporary and thought-provoking, the actors and creative teams are all very talented, and the space itself is cozy and innovative. If you head to New Paltz, take in a show at Denizen Theatre!Written April 16, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - John RMount Kisco, NY1 contributionWe went there for a great concert, Legendary Women of Country Music, and had a wonderful time. acoustics are good and the sight lines are very good. The decor has been updated with beautiful large local artwork, and we had no problem parking a block away. They also have dance and other performance art.Written May 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Elise GHudson River Valley, NY1,286 contributionsHow sweet it is to be so close and connected with a band. You've read it before, and I will echo the others. The Levon Helm Studios is a great venue for a show!
Tickets are reasonably priced. Parking is plentiful. The place is clean. Acoustics are great.
Most recently, I saw a band from Mali, West Africa, Habib Koite and Bamada. They were phenomenal. I trust part of the reason for a stellar performance is the venue itself.
If other muscians who I know and love peform there, you can bet I will attend!Written November 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After dinner walked across the street to the Playhouse and saw an awesome play. The theater is small (approx 160 seats) and has a lot of the original decor. The staff were super friendly and the talent in the play was great - honed actors/actress not just local fill ins. Tickets were very inexpensive. It was a wonderful 2 hours detour!Written October 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
