What travelers are saying
- Slavko OCastries, France10 contributionsWe (myself and my two daughters) were on a short family visit in Saas-Fee. As the girls (14 and 11) have never been to any mountains before and had zero experience in any wintersport, I took a chance and booked snowboarding private lessons with teacher Louis. He's a real professional and mellow and cool at the same time. The girls enjoyed the lessons and have made a terrific progress: from total zero to confident snowboarding beginners in just two days.Written March 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mr. Martin Gerard MaguireLondon, UK5 contributionsLovely resort beautiful scenery and excellent skiing. Never been to Switzerland before, very easy to get around. Wonderful connections between airport and resort the train took you all the way. Picked up from train station by electric buggy and brought to hotel door step. There was only one thing I was not prepared for and that was the expense. Hotel food great but any drinks to have with the meal expensive. The tap water ( sounding similar to Han Vasser) is at 4 euros per bottle. Food on the mountain is very very good but also expensive.Written February 12, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alistair R1 contributionJust wanted to pass on my thanks again for Tom’s help last week taking me from the beginner slopes back onto the mountain itself.
I particularly appreciated his patience and ability to demonstrate the correct style.
Great work and organisation too.Written February 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The village has excellent cable car services to the surrounding mountains which have walks and climbs for all abilities. We'll be back!Written October 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- P&KMilton Keynes, UK4 contributionsLocated in central Saas Fee, this small museum is well worth a visit especially when you need a break from skiing. The curator was also very friendly and informative.Written March 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jac-hobyVouvry172 contributionsA pleasure every year. Not crowded and no waiting time. The kids and our dog like it, we traveld in one cabine.Written August 16, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Domenique_vmAntwerp, Belgium54 contributionsStunning views from Felskinn. The Gondola takes you very close to the Feegletscher and Chessjengletscher!Written September 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GicasoltanGeneva, Switzerland44 contributionsWalking inside the Glacier, after a trip with the Alpine Metro is quite an experience. It is sad to see that the ice is constantly melting from one year to year. They provide parkas at the entrance of the Ice Pavilion to reduce the body heat, which is a good idea. I would have preferred these parkas to be cleaner than they were.Written August 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bandit-OneLucerne, Switzerland7,683 contributionsEven in times of Corona this part of the village was very busy. Hotel Restaurants are open only to hotel guests, all other restaurants closed. Except for Take Away, so many places changed their strategy and offer take away food.
But the shops were all still open at my time of visit, but outside on the street or inside the shops there was a mask requirement of course.
But that doesn't make this street less attractive. It's a relatively short stretch which leads through the heart of the old part of Saas Fee. Lots of souvenir shops, but also some nice independent store as well as a good number of bakeries, butchers and cheese shops. There are chain grocery stores in town as well, in case you need to stock up on some groceries.
It's just a charming part of Saas Fee, wonderful typical Valais-style buildings, most of the still inhabited, not just for show.Written February 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Your ski pass should provide you with a free cable car to the top.
Then views are great and this is the sunny side of Saas Fee.
We did not go at night (could not find a day sledging report) but during the day. The course is well maintained and the first section is a bit steep, but after that, it is a great run down the hill.
Lots of fun and very enjoyable. Must be even better at night.Written February 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - rnickYorkshire, UK33 contributionsSki lessons.
I’m late to skiing & teenage kids who are infinitely quicker than myself. I love the mountains..downhill skiing ummm not sure. I've had lessons over the years, but too often never explored the pistes.
So to Zenit
- Loved it, learning without feeling I was at school.
- Lessons ended, I kept skiing the blacks, something I’d never thought possible. Thank you.
- Lessons were perfect. At my age I want to ski and learn. We travelled the mountain.
- A few key takeaways made all the difference. When it gets hard, I used them.
- Instructions and atmosphere were perfect. I was pushed and challenged, just as I asked to be.
- J worked hard, listened and took time to understand what I was looking for. They were relatable and above all built confidence. You really can go down there, improve speed, smooth out the turns etc.
- Excellent music tips and Berlin club recommendations included!
I’d recommend without hesitation.Written February 22, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
