- Joe M10 contributionsThe park of the castle is a great experience for adults and children on sunny days. It's quite large, so bring comfortable shoes. The park features several areas including baroque gardening, a japanese garden and most important to children a fairy tale garden. The fairy tale garden has some interactive devices for small children. It's German only, but children might still have fun.
You can buy moderately priced, medium quality food on site. There are also places, where you can picnic.
Be aware, the residence and the park are separate tickets, while you can access the park freely, the residence is only accessible through guided tours. - WD_TWDSingapore, Singapore16 contributionsThis place is magical. This castle is surrounded by a beautiful, breathless garden with animals such as deers, squirrels and ducks. The garden made us feel calm, composed and in the moment. Inside this castle has so much history, from dancing room to bedroom to the little cabinet rooms.
I would like to give special appreciation to Cynthia. We had questions and she took time to explain some of the history to us. From her explanation, I learned so much about this castle. For that, I am very grateful! Because without her, we wouldn't even know anything about this castle. Take you, Cynthia, for taking us back to history, for taking us back in time. With her, we relive the castle history.

Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Clive BDartford, UK1,354 contributionsThe entrance to the cemetery is dominated by the huge 1939-1945 war memorial, which looks like a small church, with its stained glass windows, however inside is quite stark and there is just a statue in the centre. You cannot enter the memorial, but the grill gates allow you to see inside. To the right is a beautiful circle of carved pillars to remember those that were lost during the wars. At the back of the cemetery is the Zeppelin Mausoleum, which was built by Duke Friedrich for his friend. In fact it is hard to walk around the old cemetary without spotting names that ring throughout history, and those that gave their life for their country. The inventor of the match is even buried here! The museum's collection covers European Men's & Woman's fashion from the 18th - 20th centuries, for the privileged and not so privileged. Designer fashions included. A free, well done audio guide provides a lot of context for the items on display. I enjoyed my time here. - StockholmKindaGuyMarietta, GA7,324 contributionsLocated in the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace, the Museum of Ceramics has a rich collection of porcelain and ceramic from the 18th and 19th century. The pieces, both large and small are nicely displayed in a splendid royal setting. There's a lot to see, including an assortment of figurines, animals and decorative objects. No photography was allowed in the museum.
Admission is included in the ticket price to visit the Ludwigsburg Residential Palace.

It is not too big but the atmosphere is always very good. The food is alot better then it was before. Allthough the consistency is not that good. - Clive BDartford, UK1,354 contributionsInteresting museum and building, which was a former youth prison. Lots of Ludwigsburg history on the ground floor whilst upstairs is all about prison life. Sadly much of the displays are in German and you really need to be able to read German to get the most from a visit here. That said, you'll have no doubt what is on display and what they were used for, it not their full history. - PonvannanBengaluru, India102 contributionsThis is first time in Germany I have witnessed formers market. Saturday early morning vegetables, fruits, honey, flowers, egg, chicken, fish all are came from close by villages from the formers. you can get fresh vegetables.
this is little bit expensive. But none of the items are frozen items or chemicals are not added.
I saw some organic food items also.
this market will start at 8 AM and closed by 2 PM noon. only on Saturdays.
