Although we were in Ludwigsburg for the Christmas Markets, we took the opportunity to visit the Palace. The tour was very informative and lasted a bit over an hour. The tour was in English. To get to the Palace from the train station, you walk up through the town, through a shopping mall, and across the main square. A nice town.

Great Market! Lots of food and unique merchandise stalls. Good atmosphere - busy but manageable. Take the train for no fuss arrival.

Blühendes Barock is an absolutely stunning destination that offers a perfect blend of nature, history, and beauty. The meticulously maintained gardens are breathtaking, with vibrant flowers, elegant fountains, and well-designed landscapes that transport you to a peaceful, idyllic setting. Each season brings a different charm, but spring and summer are especially magical with a riot of colors and fragrant blossoms. The baroque architecture of the Ludwigsburg Palace adds a majestic backdrop, giving the entire experience a regal feel.

The park's layout is spacious, allowing for peaceful strolls, and there's plenty of seating to relax and take in the surroundings. The fairy-tale garden is a real treat for children and adults alike, bringing beloved stories to life in a creative and interactive way.

Blühendes Barock is also great for families, with well-maintained paths, informative signage, and plenty of space to explore. Overall, it’s a must-visit for anyone in the Ludwigsburg area, offering a perfect mix of relaxation, beauty, and cultural enrichment. Highly recommended!

Wonderful Christmas market just 20 minutes from the centre of Stuttgart. Plenty of variety in the stalls. Great food and drink options. Everyone really friendly.

This place is magical. This castle is surrounded by a beautiful, breathless garden with animals such as deers, squirrels and ducks. The garden made us feel calm, composed and in the moment. Inside this castle has so much history, from dancing room to bedroom to the little cabinet rooms.

I would like to give special appreciation to Cynthia. We had questions and she took time to explain some of the history to us. From her explanation, I learned so much about this castle. For that, I am very grateful! Because without her, we wouldn't even know anything about this castle. Take you, Cynthia, for taking us back to history, for taking us back in time. With her, we relive the castle history.

Highly suggest you visit this place and don't forget to walk around the garden!

I love the arena and I am usually there once a month for a basketball game. It is not too big but the atmosphere is always very good. The food is alot better then it was before. Allthough the consistency is not that good. They have a good veggie burger but it really depends on who makes it.

This is first time in Germany I have witnessed formers market. Saturday early morning vegetables, fruits, honey, flowers, egg, chicken, fish all are came from close by villages from the formers. you can get fresh vegetables.

this is little bit expensive. But none of the items are frozen items or chemicals are not added.

I saw some organic food items also.

this market will start at 8 AM and closed by 2 PM noon. only on Saturdays.

i have added few photos also

The entrance to the cemetery is dominated by the huge 1939-1945 war memorial, which looks like a small church, with its stained glass windows, however inside is quite stark and there is just a statue in the centre. You cannot enter the memorial, but the grill gates allow you to see inside. To the right is a beautiful circle of carved pillars to remember those that were lost during the wars. At the back of the cemetery is the Zeppelin Mausoleum, which was built by Duke Friedrich for his friend. In fact it is hard to walk around the old cemetary without spotting names that ring throughout history, and those that gave their life for their country. The inventor of the match is even buried here! As an old cemetary it is no longer used, but is still very well maintained, the huge trees here are very special and for a quiet contemplative walk, this is a beautiful place.

If you enjoy fashion, you'll probably enjoy the Mode Museum at the Ludwigsburg Palace. The museum's collection covers European Men's & Woman's fashion from the 18th - 20th centuries, for the privileged and not so privileged. Designer fashions included. A free, well done audio guide provides a lot of context for the items on display. I enjoyed my time here. No photos were allowed.
