James @ Ultimate took my daughter Katie (14) from able to get down the mountain to competent and confident on her snowboard in two private lessons over Easter. I joined one of them and learnt a couple of new things. I was really impressed with James' coaching techniques. At no point did he correct Katie. Just kept reinforcing the right way to board. He was calm,. considerate and fun to be around. Katie felt at complete ease with him.

I would highly recommend my skiing instructor Lionel @ Evolution 2 Tignes. For someone who is not a confident skier and hadn’t been skiing for a long time he made me feel safe and secure on the slopes. I booked four two hour one to one lessons with Lionel (wish I had booked more!!) and he helped me overcome my fears and taught me amazing techniques to help me. I was almost ready to give up on day one but after my first lesson with him he gave me the confidence and ability to believe in myself again. Not only did I admire his amazing skiing technique but also the way he was willing to help and support ‘everyone’ in need on the mountains. He rapidly called for help when a young girl and her friend broke their ski whilst mentoring me down the slopes. He was able to multitask extremely well and I knew I was in safe hands!!! I’m already looking forward to skiing more with Lionel on my next skiing holiday ⛷️❄️⛷️❄️

Had a fantastic time with Simon in Tignes, really helped me build my riding skills and confidence and get the foundations right in 1:1 lessons. Also had an awesome time riding powder for the first time with him, he knows where to find the fresh stuff and I had an insane amount fun. Thanks Si - loved laughing with you :)

The sling is fabulous, extensive , and caters for all experiences , we are seasoned skiers so are looking for interesting and taxing pistes , which there are an abundance of. Val d isere is attached to this resort making an immense area to explore.
Be carful choosing your accommodation I would avoid tignes immobilise the agent for chalets .

Visited with kids ranging from 9 to 17. Great fun, best tip is not to have a big dinner beforehand as you might end up feeling sick! Great fun

I booked in our 15 and 17yr old for a 4 hour private lesson. We had a delayed flight so I called Jay to advise him they'd miss the first hour. Initially he offered us a refund for 1 hour but then squeezed them in later in the week for the missed hour at no extra cost! If only everyone operated like Jay does the world would be a better place.
    The kids loved the lessons.
    I can't recommend Jay enough.

We booked a 3 hour lesson with TDC for 5 friends. The booking process was easy and straightforward. Rab was our instructor and he was very fun and entertaining, as well as a brilliant coach. He took the time to give individual feedback to everyone. He also led us to quieter parts of the mountain which we wouldn't have discovered otherwise. We all loved the lesson, we learnt plenty and ended the day very satisfied. I would definitely recommend a lesson with Rab and the TDC team.

I had two three-hour morning sessions one-on-one with Renelle and I cannot recommend her highly enough! Before the lessons, I'd had about two weeks of snowboarding experience in my life and was pretty fearful on steep parts, with speed, and on scratchy snow. Within the six hours I spent with Renelle, she really helped me overcome these mental barriers and dramatically helped me improve my technique with a strategy I could focus on while transitioning into turns. She was patient and kind and really tailored her teaching to my level. I now feel much more confident on the slopes! Thank you Renelle!!!!

Nice spot for recovery and relaxation after a day of skiing. The pool is large enough for up to 20 people, but I never had more that 6 swimming in the same time. The spa includes several saunas, jacuzzis and one hammam, serving water and tea for those requiring it. Spotless clean.

The Espace Killy is a fantastic ski region providing two resorts for the price of one with Tignes being interconnected with Val d’Isere. This was my second time in Val d’Isere and both occasions I had the most incredible, breathtaking holiday. The scenery is immense, the town is immaculate, and the memories are cherished. There are a huge number of ski hire providers and the resort is fairly self explanatory in terms of navigation. A huge collection of pistes for all skill levels exists and plenty of bars, restaurants and Cocoricos provide all the entertainment you need for Apres Ski!

In winter, the lake between Tignes and Val Claret is frozen and provides a path for skier, who want to go for a walk. The mountains around the lake are spectacular.and the air is lovely and clean. It takes around 10 minutes to cross the lake

At the Val Claret end of the lake, you walk over a small woode bridge to reach the cross, country ski area, where we have occasionally seen dog sleds practising. The Tignes end of the lake is where parachutist land.

Great ski area, if you are lucky enough to have some inches of fresh snow you will really be delighted. Clearly not an area for beginners, do not take the risk if you are not a confirmed skier, as the snow is hard and the slopes are steep. Excellent sport experience both in summer and winter.

Tignes has plenty of mountain bike trails that cater for all skill levels. There are 5 lift that operate during the summer, this also includes the Gondola in Val D'isere. When booking check with you host to see if they offer the my Tignes pass, if they do it is free and offers plenty of activities, swimming pool, archery, crazy golf, tennis lake activities and many more including unlimited lift pass for bikes and walkers. For more info check out (my Tignes) this make the stay even better. Plenty of place to eat and drink. The views are some of the best in the Alps.

Small shop with no group lessons for kids but service was excellent and quality of ski coaches is good. Sylvain, Olivier were good for both adults and kids on skis and snowboard. Ski boots fitting available. Highly recommend.

Drove past the lake on the way up to the Tignes Resort as well as when heading towards Val d'Isere. It's a fairly large lake with nice views of the mountain range. There are scenic stopping points on the road between Tignes and Val d'Isere.
The gondola from the Tignes Breveries also has quite nice views of the lake and dam. It looked like it was walkable to the dam from the Tignes 1800 area (Les Biosses).
There is also a dam on the Tignes side of the lake, which you drive over to get to the resort.
