What a fun place! Kiki in the cider bar was especially helpful in getting us our cider and other delicious goodies! Gorgeous orchard! We have kids of all ages so sometimes have a hard time finding things everyone enjoys, but this is definitely a special place that all ages love!

The First Congregational Church of Olivet is a beautiful Stone building. It dates founding back to 1854. The present building dates back to 1894. A State of Michigan Historical Marker tells the story of the Church. My wife tells me in the inside is also beautiful. It was closed when we stopped.

The First Congregational Church in Vermontville was based on New England style churches. The group that that organized the congregation was from Vermont state. A Statre of Michigan Historical Marker tells the story. The church was built in the 1860s.

The Mill is privately owned. It can only be view from the street. It still in use generating power which is sold to Consumers Energy. We were told the owners spend time there in the summer. Nice to see the building which is beautifully preserved. A State of Michigan Historical Marker gives the history of the Gothic Mill.

Stopped to read the State of Michigan Historical Marker in front of the Catholic Church. There are several building on the property and the cemetery is across the road. The church dates back to the late 1800s. At one time it had its own school. Now they are down to 1 mass a week. Stop and spend some time looking over this interest church.

The Vermontville Academy is a historic building. Built as a school it served as a church and now is a museum. It is located on the corner with one historic church on adjacent corner and another historic church across the street. The museum was not open when we visited, but we plan to return to see it.

I enjoy Historical Markers. Stop at Auntie's Deli for a to-go specialty coffee and walk a couple of blocks down to the marker. It's a few yards south of Main St so look for it as you come up on address. We learned a couple of new things about Austin Blair and his role in local/state government.

While out for a ride with my wife we drove into Sunfield to look around. Was delighted when we spotted a State of Michigan Historical Marker. It gives the history of the Grand Army of the Republic and G.A.R. Hall in Sunfield. The building was not open but appears to be in excellent repair and is nicely painted.
