- Stu151Wickford, UK1,315 contributionsExcellent gardens, laid out in a very traditional way.
If you are used to "modern" garden design (say at RHS gardens in England), you'll find this garden a bit old fashioned. Plants/shrubs tend to be in big groups, which to us seemed slight wrong.
Nothwithstanding this, the garden is perfectly maintained, and the formal borders look stunning.
It's a big area, with some steep slopes, so allow at least 2 hours if you want to see it all.

- Anthony HWilliamsburg, VA1,134 contributionsThe Villa Giulia is a very scenic and beautiful place to enjoy some time and see the spectacular vistas that Lake Maggiore has to offer. The town of Pallanza-Verbania is off the beaten path but well worth the time, and Villa Giulia is the crown jewel of the town. Frequented by tourists and locals alike for the amenities it has to offer from restaurants to wedding facilities. Located in a beautiful park like setting right on Lake Maggiore. While you are there make sure to have a drink on the patio and enjoy the beauty that summer time has to offer in this beautiful setting. In one of my photos they are in the process of doing marble restoration for Cathedral at Sienna.Written October 6, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
