Go to Fornillo to get away from the large crowds. These beaches need water shoes as they are rocky but fun to look for sea glass and other items. There are private little restaurants that are great food and spots to reserve a beach chair.

We were on our honeymoon in Positano and booked the Arienzo Beach Club and we couldn't have been happier. In fact, we had such a great time, we booked it for a second day that same week. It is a gorgeous beach and the staff are so friendly and attentive - especially Antonio! It is a bit pricey (depending on which package you get), but so worth it based on all of the food and drinks you get with the package. Also, the fact that there is a boat shuttle that picks you up and drops you off at the main pier in Positano is so helpful. We cannot recommend this enough and will definitely be returning if we're back in Positano!

The main beach in Positano. It is pretty much divided in 4 areas - paid beach club, only residents and 2 public areas that anyone can access.

The public areas are located on the extremes ends of the beach, residents and beach club centre.

In the public area you don't need to pay anything and any corner will do. As we knew we would be travelling around the Italian coast, we brought beach towels with us and our Airbnb provided a beach umbrella (small but enough to us to hide from the 38oC summer day).

If you plan to travel around the coast, buy a beach umbrella at any store (about $12 Euros). As the paid beach club charge around 15 Euros a day each beach chair with umbrella.

Spiaggia Grande is not sand, but rocks and during hot days the hot rocks will burn your feet. So wear flip-flops. Everyone walked to the water in flip-flops then left it near the water.

It is a very very small cave. 5 euro to enter with only really one view. It is ok. I didnt really like the tour guide he did a hard sell on the tips, then you had to walk past him to get off the boat, it is a bit intimidating.

We stopped by this spot on our private tour of the Amalfi Coast. There was not a great area for parking and it was located on the main drive between the major towns, but the driver was able to pull over to a safe spot and vehicles maneuvered around us with no problems. This was a very small area which will take 10-15 minutes to see tops. Check out the photos to see if this would be something that interests you. If you like quirky, different things then you'll probably appreciate it. If you want professional, clean, mainstream stuff then this probably isn't for you. No restrooms!
